Old Mexico Lives On

On February 2nd 1848, following a short and one-sided war, Mexico agreed to cede more than half its territory to the United States. An area covering most of present-day Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah, plus parts of several other states, was handed over to gringolandia. The rebellious state of Tejas, which had declared its independence from Mexico in 1836, was recognised as American soil too. But a century and a half later, communities have proved more durable than borders.

I would be a little skeptical of this map. I think, as of the last census results, that it overstates the number of Mexicans in our county.

The Mexicans couldn't pacify the Indians. It was after the Mexican American war that the fort building began. Fort Worth was built in 1849. Fort Concho was built in 1867 where present day San Angelo is.

After that, all they needed was the invention of the variable pitch windmill and barbed wire.

This is history. God gives lands and countries to people who love and serve Him. When those people turn their backs on God, and start worshipping themselves (aka, "humanism"), He gives their lands and countries to their enemies.

This is what's happening. Our "stupidity" was in thinking that we could worship and serve Satan and get away with it.

In answer to your question, no. A country this stupid cannot survive. We're watching the beginning of the end.

Northerners in Congress (I suppose only the senators were involved) were afraid that the territory gained would someday become part of a slave state.

Some in California may think it became such when they see their taxes!.

This is only half the story. It isn’t just Mexicans. Look at MD. If you put in Central America as ethnic origin the counties around DC would be very brown too.

Interesting presentation - almost like watching an amoeba assimilate its food - which as a nation, we did. Then came the indigestible parts who only wanted to live like Americans, not become one.

The Imans in the UK are preaching in the Mosques that it is a religious obligation for all the Muslims to go on 'benefits' as heavily as possible to cause a collapse so that Sharia Law can be implemented in the chaos.

Regarding the Domincans in Lawrence—is most of Lawrence Dominican? Is so, do you know why? I always thought that most Latinos in Massachusetts were from Puerto Rico.

I'll bet that many Domincans come into the US under pretense of being Puerto Ricans. Have you heard of this? It wouldn't be too hard to travel from Dominica to Puerto Rico since they are close, and then hopping on a plane from Puerto Rico to the US.

I have done the math. At the company I work for a lot of the cafeteria workers are from East Boston and Lawrence, and they seem to be mostly Dominicans. Can’t say why. Very decent people, but I only see the ones with jobs and W-2’s.

We have far more claim to all of Mexico than they do to the Southwest. We won the war, then outright bought part of the land from them.

Mexico has tons of natural resources, might be a good idea to just take over...

They have a good number of illegals in New England. Don’t forget they have a huge population of illegal Chinese, not to mention illegals from Mexico, South America, and other countries are/have been moving there in larger numbers recently. I saw an article the other day about a town/city in CT trying to pass an ordinance against renting to non-citizens. I assume they must be afraid the illegal population is or will be getting out of hand.

We hear more about Mexican illegals because they have powerful groups lobbying for them, organizations that are fighting for amnesty for them and because Mexico is next door it is easier for them to get here so they are the largest group of illegals.
