Gay refugees find shelter after fleeing hate in homelands
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | February 1, 2014 | Kevin Fagan

In America, Carine can hold Gertrude's hand and not be beaten. It's amazing to them both.

On Market Street in San Francisco, they can push their baby in a stroller and not be spit upon for being witches or demons of sin - as lesbians are back in their home villages in Cameroon.

In that West African country, being convicted of homosexuality brings years of prison, just as it does in Uganda, Afghanistan and 74 other nations. That's why Carine and Gertrude have fled to America, as have an increasing number of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people each year from countries including this month's Winter Olympics host, Russia.

Oh, San Francisco should just LOVE their new neighbors! Finally, a triple-oppressed group for them to sign up for all kinds of benefits! Also, new voters for the dems! And some new criminals in there to coddle, as well. What a day!

Our prayer to you:

“Thank you Gaia, mother of us all, for your generous gifts of these new humans to patronize and to play with. To show our love, we will find some more conservatives to trash.”

While not agreeing with the homo lifestyle, gotta say that's pretty harsh. However, giving them special status here in the USA and other countries is also not warranted. Often times I think that there should be heterosexual marches and parades. Just to show them they are no one special because of their sexual preferences.

No one deserves to get beaten or tortured for being gay.

Nobody deserves to get beaten or tortured for being Christian.

But I suspect the US won't be opening their doors to them.

They are good at urban renewal without the government being involved. The Castro district was once a slum. I say let them all in and let them settle in Detroit.

The simple fact is that the USA can’t fix the problems of the world by inviting distressed citizens of elsewhere to move here. We simply can’t afford it.

I know this won’t go over well here, so here it goes anyway.
No one deserves to get beaten or tortured for being gay.

Why is that the problem of American taxpayers when it happens in a foreign country?

There is a lot of injustice in the world and we are not Texas Rangers to the world.

Christians are being slaughtered every day by muslims with little, if any, outcry from the federal government.

Yet the Obama governmemt continues it's perverted preoccupation with homosexualism.

Thanks to Obama and the federal government we have taxpaying, law abiding American citizens who can't get the medical care they need, but we are giving it for free to foreign homosexuals.

Won’t be too much longer before they make heterosexuality a crime.

What makes you think anyone here, in their right mind, promotes beating & torturing gays? That’s an absurd insinuation!

People are under threat all over the damn world. Do we let everyone in? Everyone to suck off the welfare state and drive up our debt?

Son: “Mom, they beat me up for kissing a man in public and talking about our bedroom activities.”

Mom: “Then don’t do that.”

If people want to defile one another in the privacy of their homes, I say go for it. But I don’t want to hear about it or know about it, and I certainly don’t want my children to hear about it or know about it. Homosexuality and its associated acts should be put back in the closet (read: away from public display) as it always has been.

Sodomy laws weren’t enacted to stop sodomy; sodomy laws were enacted to keep sodomy from public display. Time for the SCOTUS to reverse Lawrence v. Texas.

Of course we can’t let everyone in the world immigrate here. The whole idea of doing that is ludicrous.

What’s being put forward here is an equally ludicrous proposition:

Anyone who opposes throwing open our borders to accept every refugee in the world is by definition, supporting the beating and torture of those refugees in their home countries.

No, the point is, why are these people being favored over others? Could it be because they are potential rat voters?
