I watched one of her few adult roles this past weekend, John Ford’s “Fort Apache.” She was a beautiful young lady.

Shirley Temple married her Fort Apache co-star, John Agar. That marriage did not last long.

I am addicted to the Encore Westerns channel. Especially the old Gunsmoke episodes.....a half hour one at 5:30 followed by an early (B&W) hourlong one at 6.

I can point out by name many western character actors. Like Hank worden, the skinny bald headed old man who shows up in many John Wayne movies, played “Old Mose” (I want my rockin chair) in “The Searchers.”

John Wayne has his own category for some of his early movies on there..
