Poll: Milton Wolf Surges In Kansas

A new PPP survey released today contains some very good news for Dr. Milton Wolf, the conservative candidate challenging incumbent U.S. Senator Pat Roberts in the Kansas Republican primary.

Last month, Roberts released an internal poll showing him with a 54-point lead.

Roberts 69%, Wolf 15%

Today, after news that Roberts no longer lives in Kansas and misled voters about his residency for years, Roberts only has a 26-point lead.

Roberts 49%, Wolf 23%

That's a 28-point collapse in just one month!

Pat Roberts is in a free fall.

PPP says that Roberts' image has now flipped upside down.

Pat Roberts has seen his net approval rating decline 12 points over the last year, in the wake of news media reports that he spends little time in the state. In February of 2013 we found him on slightly positive ground at a 31/28 spread, but now only 29% of voters approve of him compared to 38% who disapprove.

Pat Roberts has been in Washington now for 47 years and he's lost touch with Kansas voters. He has not only left them ideologically with votes to raise the debt limit, increase taxes, and put Kathleen Sebelius in charge of Obamacare, he has left them physically. Roberts does not live in Kansas anymore and rarely spends time there.

The Republican primary election in Kansas is still over 5 months away so there is plenty of time for Dr. Wolf to overtake Roberts. PPP agrees:

I am a strong supporter of several of the ongoing primary challenges (Cornyn, Graham, among many others), but there are a few challenges where I'm not sure the unknown quantity is a guarantee of anything better. Kansas is one of those races.

I don't have any particular passion against Roberts, and have never had him at the top of any “vote ‘em out” list.

I suspect much of what's going on may have to do the “career politician” issue.

Typical response from an out of touch RINO. Okay, so he “legally” lives in Kansas by renting a couch at donor’s house. I’m sure that really helps stay in touch with the people of Kansas and represent them well. You establishment tools will never get it.

Get a CLUE!
How do you expect anyone to have two different full time homes?
The vast majority of the members of Congress rent out their homes, or have other family members stay in them.
You are PETTY and you are encouraging WASTEFUL lifestyles and WASTEFUL spending from our representatives.
Grow up.

Shouldn't be much strain on the average career politician who has managed to earn </steal> millions during their tenure.

You need to post this drivel over at DU.

It is not “drivel” in fact this issue is so STUPID in only goes to show that Conservatives have NO real complaints against Pat Roberts.

I just got a call from a Polling Organization. Did you know that the “Federal Do Not Call List” does not apply to organizations taking a political poll? They only asked me about two races before they hung up on me. For State Representative, I told them I was writing in the name of Ima Rearend and for the Congressional Race I was writing in the name of Tella Dumbitch. CLICK!

First, you get slaughtered in Texas because your alternative candidates stink...

To: staytrue - There you go again RINO lover. I beg your freakin’ pardon. You have NOT researched the candidates in the Texas Senate Race. With the exception of my Congressman, Steve Stockman, who will lose the seat if he’s in the run-off, we have some OUTSTANDING CANDIDATES. If you wouldn’t make statements like the one above, people wouldn’t know just how ignorant you really are.

Has KS ever rejected a big name which the voters recognize in a primary?
__________________________________________________________________________________________________
Prolly not. That’s why you thank God that the uninformed voters do NOT vote in Primaries.

You mean has the incumbant ever been defeated in the primary? Yeah, 1996 when Sam Brownback defeated Sheilah Frahm. But Frahm had been appointed by Graves and was only in office a couple of months before the primary. Roberts has been there for some time.

1.) Roberts is a conservative 2.) This poll is worthless ____________________________________________________________

Ooooohh. The sore losers are getting pissed already. I'm not saying Roberts is a Liberal, but I'm not saying he's a Conservative either. What I am saying is this: Roberts has become part of the Beltway and GOP Establishment. He's one of the good ol' boys who doesn't give a s**t about Kansas or it's people. All he cares about is his Senate seat, his power and all the money he has stolen from the people of Kansas by being Virginia's Third Senator. He is a liar and a deceiver representing a State he has not lived in for years. And, I'll bet that you, and all the people who are defending the crusty, old, fart, called Hillary Clinton a carpetbagger when she ran for the Senate in NY. Oh the hypocrisy you RINOs can muster up.

OMG. I do not believe you asked that question. Why don’t you STFU before people on here realize that you’re not only a RINO-loving troll, but you’re also ignorant.?

Milton Wolf is TOAST! There is much more dirt out there that has not been made public yet. Wolf should drop out of the race.
And it looks like YOU do not keep up with the news very well.

I keep up with the news and I know what you’re talking about. But, we weren’t discussing Wolf. We were discussing your RINO buddy; Pat Roberts.

You are the one wasting your time supporting a beltway careerist pig like Pat Roberts. He cares nothing for you or anybody else on Main Street. Oink oink.

You are wrong. Pat Roberts and his office have helped me with my business concerns over Medicare issues several times.
Pat Roberts does a great job.

I am trying not to be a hypocrite, as I have complained to the mods about you and another poster.
I am an honest man, and you have violated a Commandment of God in your post.
“Thou Shalt not Bear False Witness against Thy Neighbor”
I have never “scammed” anyone.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
