Senate Democrats are in big trouble in 2014
Human Events ^ | 2/20/14 | Ron Pearson, Trevor Smith, Ph.D.

**SNIP**

Midterm elections are often a reflection of the approval rating of the incumbent president and now President Obama stands at 42.8%. And elections in the 6th year of a President’s term are usually not good for the incumbent’s party. To make things even worse for Democrats, the issues of a weak economy and Obamacare make November look bleak for Harry Reid and his Senate Democratic cohorts.

No, what happened is the national (RINO) GOP turned on them because they weren't 'their guys'.

Cornyn was responsible for that treason!

No...what happened was two morons answered questions about abortion/rape in ways that made them look ridiculous and allowed their opponents to shift the focus of the reelection debate. Had they been as bright as Cruz or Lee, it never, ever would have happened.

No, what happened is that the National Party ran like cowards from tso anti-abortion candidates!

They were looking for an excuse to do so, since their candidates had been defeated.

They did the same with the candidates from MD and Neveda, who defeated their handpicked'guys'.

I remember MSNBC going after Rand on if he would have voted for the 1964 Civil Rights Act!!!!

Since he said he wouldn't have, they tried to tar him with that!

Precisely. SOME people forget that even Rinos can be persuaded to occasionally do the right thing when they can be convinced that enough people care. The 100% GOP vote against THE initial passage of ObamaCare was a case in point.

Senate Democrats are in big trouble in 2014

The GOP is likely to give it back in 2016.

The RINOs will work very hard to ensure victory for the Republicans does not occur. E.g., Former Senators Lugar and Warner campaigning for Sam Nunn’s daughter in Georgia.

If you fall off a high cliff, you might live a second longer if you flap your arms real hard. But you will die tired.

That would probably be me. You see, I believe in fighting every step of the way, every inch.

The rinos will get their's in due time, but first we need the majority in the senate in order to set the agenda. Let's not forget the federal judge appointments over the next few years.

That is a good one. I will probably steal that line.

That was actually said by linda. Sorry the link to that revelation no longer works, from 2005.

If the Pubbies take the Senate, even WITHOUT a 2/3rds majority, the House must impeach the Kenyan Marxist, and the Senate MUST render a verdict.

Not to do so is a crime against the U.S. Constitution [Article I, pick a section]. All lawmakers should be held accountable for their votes [no matter what "box" is necessary].

A Republican majority won't be enough. We need real conservatives with the balls to reverse this Obama nightmare.

I completely agree, but I think we actually have the chance for this in November, 2014. Here's my logic ...

I do believe that there is a core group of GOP Senators upon which to build this conservative majority of the GOP Senate ... The Nineteen: Voted With Senator Cruz Against Cloture On Funding 0bamacare

Add to that number from the following hoped for "upgrades" to these GOP seats who voted with the dems for cloture ...

Alexander (TN)
Chambliss (GA-retiring)
Cochran (MS)
Collins (ME)
Cornyn (TX)
Graham (SC)
Johanns (NE)
McConnell (KY)

and add to the core number from these "pick-up" seats from vulnerable dems ....

Begich (AK)
Pryor (AR)
Landrieu (LA)
Levin (MI-retiring)
Hagan (NC)
Johnson (SD-retiring)
Rockefeller (WV-retiring)
Udall (CO)
Walsh (from Baucus)(MT)

And you can get to an easy majority of the majority (26-28 total seats, or more) so that you can elect the new Majority Leader (CRUZ) and completely transform the U.S. Senate.

November 2012 taught me not to underestimate the stupidity of the American electorate.

That’s why of the 12 Races listed above, I’m only counting on six (6) as a “Fo Sho” pick-up: AK, AR, MT, NC, SD and WV. Never count a Landrieu out of a race in LA. As far as Michigan (America’s Welfare State) I lived there for 10 years and it’s a “tease” state. You think you’re gonna win and the Liberals turn out enmasse. As far as CO, if Ken Buck in the nominee, practice saying Senator Udall for another 6 years. If Scott Brown is the GOP nominee in NH, Jean Shaheen may as well renew her lease on her D.C. apartment. The old knucklehead Granite State folks don’t like someone who is a carpetbagger for political gain. And, VA.... fuhgedaboutit.

Do some research on Dingy Harry Reid’s real estate shenanigans. The guy is as dirty as the day is long and if some prosecutor wanted to make a name for themselves, he would be ripe for the picking.

Democracy is a numbers game, and the numbers have turned against Conservatives.

We have been able to camouflage this problem for the last 20 years because white Conservatives (usually) turn out to vote at a much higher percentage than any other political group.

When we cheer the potential “success” of Conservative candidates in 2014, we are actually just hoping that Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, and poor whites will continue to have very low voter turn out.

That’s not a serious political strategy.

That’s a silent prayer.

That’s a political suicide note.

At some point Conservatives must accept the fact that 80% of new immigrant citizens vote Socialist.

They are not receptive to Conservative principles.

They were Socialists when left their native countries, they were Socialists when they got to America, and they will be Socialists 20 years from now.

If we do not find some way to stop mass immigration to the USA, Conservatives are politically doomed.

The day is coming when Socialists will turn out to vote at the same rate Conservatives vote.

When that happens, the Democrat Party will take permanent control of the White House, the Senate, the House, and the federal judiciary.

And when that is complete we need to flush each and every agency of marxists commies and supporters of the old regime who will continue to work behind the scene for thier leaders.
