I do...

But there are some who are still Patriots. We need many more than we have, but there ARE some still, and that is a good thing.

We didn’t get where we are after 240 years by running away. If there was EVER a time for Americans to ACT like Americans and stand up, this is it.

Amen, and amen again. We need to keep affirming that message in everything we do and say. Resistance to tyranny starts in the mind and heart. If those are weak, there's no resistance possible, and a person will unwittingly aid and abet their tormentors.

One wouldn't think they'd have to forcefully convey such a message in a place like this, but unfortunately, we do. There's just that much negativity and defeatism being dribbled on these pages every day.

Thank you for pushing back.

As well as anyone else, brother. Better than some, worse than others.

I figure as long as I have a Bird’s Eye view of the daisies, rather than a worm’s eye view, ANYTHING is possible at the dawning of the new day...

That, and a couple bottles of cold Michelob...

You must know how fortunate you were to have had the foresight and wherewithal to leave when you did and get properly resettled.

My wife and I have coined a phrase regarding a lot of opportunities that have come our way since we met:

It was a God thing.

In post number 6 you said this:

The nation as we knew it will not survive Obama. I highly recommend a bug-out plan. Seriously.

I can only take it that you were referring to fleeing the country in that post. What good is bugging out to the wild if Obama destroys "the nation as we knew it"?

Are you suggesting we live out the remainder of our lives like hermits?

What I am saying is that there is really nowhere in the world to go, but you can mitigate risk. Thing is, if the nation goes down, the world goes down. And there is still infrastructure in the US that will survive at least for a time.

If we end up in a “road warrior” world, all bets are off, but I doubt it will get that bad. What I actually expect is for the nation to become a very dangerous place around the cities. For me, “bug out” means a place within the US where you do not have to be dependent (or not very dependent) on the infrastructure, and able to take your survival into your own hands (e.g. legal self defense). Cities become very miserable places during depressions and it’s not just about food. It’s about quality of life. If you’ve seen the photos of my place you can see why I would want to live there if the SHTF, or even if it doesn’t.

No place or time to be worring about your back in a ditch with a bunch of fence jumping expat cry babies. Bring it the old fashion American way and we can get down to business. Win, lose or lose (ain’t no draw)...

Right on. What a lot of simpering crybabies don't understand, is that just having and displaying that attitude is half the battle won. In fact, it might be all it takes to win the entire war against us.

The enemy we face is cowardly in the extreme. Note that they only attack safe targets, and prostrate themselves before anyone who truly means 'business'. They have lots of false bravado, but no real courage.

It's why they want to disarm us. They don't have the guts to mount a campaign of overt subjugation against a people who can fight back.

Well, fighting back begins with looking the other fellow in the eye and telling him you won't be cowed, and that he'd better step back before things get 'real'.

my mantra has evolved to; step up or step off!

Excellent! Having the spirit to fight is even more important than fighting itself.

“...There’s just that much negativity and defeatism being dribbled on these pages every day...”

And some of it is intentional. We have trolls out here all the time playing games.

We all have a part to play, however large, however small.

So we do it.

Like fellow Manger Dawg (Woof!) Marcella said sometime ago - even it’s only wrapping bandages, you do it, you know?

I love everything about this country... my neighborhood, when I was a kid, American flags on almost every house on July 4th... men standing and removing their hats when the National Anthem came on, women with hand over heart, singing as well, the people, the ideals, the sense of “US”... and I deeply miss it, and deeply resent those who belittle and denigrate it and who try to convince others to do so.

That is where the weakness comes from. The intentionally fostered loss of respect for yourself, for culture, for heritage and heroes, and all that it took to get us here.

So if by a few words printed here, you can help someone remember what it means to be “American”... well, that’s worth doing. If that stops the mental “bugout”, then that’s worth doing.

I love my country, and all she stands for. I forget who said it, but when folks are in trouble overseas, the FIRST flag they want to see coming over the hill is Old Glory...

I’ll feel that way ‘till the end of me.

It’s probably not necessarily going to be numbers, but someone charismatic who’s brother/best friend/dad/wife gets bagged...

“...is that just having and displaying that attitude is half the battle won...”

Read this - especially the introduction by Lavrenty Beria.

http://www.fhu.com/articles/brainwashing1.html

Puts all that is happening right now into perspective. Look at it in the context of over the long run, from then till now..

Check out the VERY FIRST sentence:

“American students at the Lenin University, I welcome your attendance at these classes on Psychopolitics. “

And then remember who Beria was.

They play Long Ball, and are very good at it.

...convincing yourself you are saving the Constitution I peg your kind as the first to run in terror or the first to get mowed down when the balloon goes up.

Hurl all the vitriol you want, Invar, but the sum total of your posts to this board in the last year have been a pile of defeatist dung. You're quite eloquent at it, but it's the concepts and thoughts you promote that give your real state of mind away.

Perhaps you once had some fight in you, but you seem to have resigned yourself to some dark and evil future where death and misery prevails. Unfortunately, you insist upon trying to sell others into your demoralized mindset.

Well, I'm going to object to such defeatism when I see it posted here, as I see it as a contagious pathology of the spirit which must be resisted at all costs.

TED CRUZ and MIKE LEE stand at the top of that list.

Hell...look at Lindsey Grahamnesty and Juan McLame...... You would think that they would have a clue and understand, wouldn’t you? These two turds need to be ejected from the punchbowl.

I reserve a special contempt for McCain.

He was Navy, fighter jock. He should know better. That he willingly sticks us in the back at every opportunity is just craven and unforgivable.

the day after anyone on the right tries to do anything or even suggest any constitutional remedy to Obama’s power grab, Turley and his buddies will run to the closest camera and denounce it.
