History always repeats itself, but always with a twist. It’s why not enough people see it coming. And it’s coming with a vengeance to the US.

Do you really want to be an American in a foreign land when the whole world hates Americans?

This country is the keystone in the arch of Western Civilization; if it goes down, so does the rest of the civilized world.

Keep in mind the words of Adm. James Stockdale, after having spent seven years checked-in at the Hanoi Hilton:

This is a very important lesson. You must never confuse faith that you will prevail in the end—which you can never afford to lose—with the discipline to confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might be."

There are 100,000,000 armed citizens in this country. We have absolutely no reason to run from anyone.

When I say “bug-out plan”, I’m talking about avoiding being stuck in something like this:

I’m with you. However, the place I bought in KY is about 50 miles from any metropolitan center. The starving mobs will have to get through a lot of people like me and you to get to me. It’ll cull the herd. I will probably need less ammo. ;-)

Please see my post 60. When I say “bug out”, I’m not talking about leaving the country. I’m talking about bugging out of what will be hot-spots. We’ve already bugged out. Our hend produce lots of eggs, our garden produces lots of food. There are cattle galore around here. We raise our own for our own meat. There are lots of critters and deer, and Solar power and well water will complete the picture.

We also opted out of obamacare or any health insurance as of January. We have been sliding into full Galt for about a decade.

Yup. Those skills prevented the recent weather disaster ramifications in GA.

That makes a lot more sense; your Post 6 had me a bit perplexed.

You might have to bring the whole town; doesn’t the town own the team?

Amen, Windy... “Bugging out” is not an option for someone who claims to be an American.

This is my home, my country, my Nation, and at last HALF of the people here are my People as well.

There IS no where TO run to; folks can run all away all their lives, and these cretins will just follow them - because THEY can’t exist without us. They need us; we don’t need them.

So, these surrender monkeys can run all they want. Go to some Third World country, settle down in some little village off the beaten path, and when the Marxist or Muslim Rebel terrorist group du jour comes through - which they will, eventually - then run again. Or join them.

We didn’t get where we are after 240 years by running away. If there was EVER a time for Americans to ACT like Americans and stand up, this is it.

This isn’t free. Nobody ever said it would be. Most people go through their whole lives never realizing that that particular bill is still out there and will need to be paid someday.

Many already paid it, went away to foreign places, gave up all of their tomorrows for OUR today.

Way I figure it, my life means nothing in the grand scheme of things other than what I do to make sure what was left to me is still there for the following generations.

I’ve had a good life because some 19 or 20-year old American kid gave his life up on Iwo, or in the Ardennes, or in Ia Drang, or Pleiku, or 73 Eastings, or Mosul, or Falujah.

If mine is required now, then it is what is. My old man almost bled to death in the snow in the Ardennes so that I’d have a good life. How the hell do you repay THAT? Certainly not by running away.

Better to stand and fight - like an American Man - than run and hide. If it’s alone, by myself, then so be it. Every man has a moment of truth, and it’s usually faced alone.

We all die eventually. It’s what you LIVE for up to that point - that matters. Whatever small part I was put on this Earth to play, I will play it with due diligence.

Who am I? I’m an American.

And NO ONE will ever make me turn my back on that.

Woof, woof Brother Dawgs... Grand Pack Howl.

Cuban, That kind of “bug out” is a lot different than running away to another country. Not at all what we were referring to.

That just makes good sense to relocate where sustainable food / resources are available. Removing yourself from the proximity of cities and the psychotic lunacy that follows a collapse is just basic survival.

“Going Galt” is not remotely the same as abandoning your Country and your fellow citizens - and then sitting offshore gloating about it and then crying to the moderators when people take you to task about it.

Have you ever read any of James Wesley Rawles’ books? If not, you should.

Exactly my thoughts as well!

Have bad things happened to our great nation over these past years? Yes. Is it anything we can’t fix? No. Has anyone ever in the history of the world ever got anything that was truly worth a damn that they did have to work for or fight for? NO!

I feel just as you Windflier and I have said this before and I now say it again; Like you I would rather die standing shoulder to shoulder with friends and family protecting our own on the soil that my forefathers bleed and died to protect than to live out my life old, alone, and more than likely broke in some third world rat trap. Yes I might die under the heel of some tin pot despot or overwhelmed by his zombies, but I will at least be able to look those family members in the eye when I hopefully meet them in the next life and more importantly I will be able to say to my God:

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith”
2 Timothy 4:7

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRxr_vzc5m4

But I can not abide the thought of dying a foreigner among strangers, who do not understand or have knowledge of my ancestors, my history or my culture and there living out my days on earth like a shadow, without hope or a land of my own.

Anyone can buy shares, but Wisconsin holds like 99% of them...and we do not give them up easily! They’re usually passed down in the family, like season tickets. :)

Stockdale was a great man...

I remember how furious I was when the press was making fun of him following his VP debate.

He was a better man and a better American than ANY of his critics could ever hope to be.

And his passing was truly a loss to this Nation, whereas any of the media... well, not so much.

Belize is turning into crap hole...enjoy your stay.

I was born on this soil, I’ve fought for this soil, I’ll die on this soil and be buried in it.
