Marine Corps officials who tried to ban the Marine Corps Times from base newsstands or move it to less visible areas in stores did so because of the paper’s reporting on the commandant, emails obtained by that paper suggest.

There’s some kind of ethics violation here. Perhaps, the Corps forgot the 2014 training class?
I always thought that once you got to either E7 or O5....you ought to get the ethics training at least three or four times a year.

Seems that some USMC brass have forgotten the difference between "strategic" and "tactical."
While, strategically, they might stupidly think it a good idea to ban or relocate the paper, I suspect that most Marines read it on their laptop or phone...and if there's a really good/spicy article/expose..it goes viral pretty fast..thus, tactically, it's a really stupid idea..
