Probably the remains of whatever cause the one zipping past in May. Some much larger body has been breaking apart with each pass around the sun (tidal forces). That object has left a debris field more than two millions miles WIDE which we are to pass through May 23 - 25. Several have hit in the past.

The big question is, which city or country is most deserving of a God-directed thumping by such a rock?

That's easy...the city which had done more damage to America than any other...Boston, Massachusetts. Pure evil.

“The big question is, which city or country is most deserving of a God-directed thumping by such a rock?”

All have sinned, and I doubt that God grades on a curve, or punishes by such means.
OTOH, whaddeyeno?

Bus size? Would tat be a Grayhound, school or a Double decker?.....

Well, since it is maintaining its course and scheduled speed, it certainly isn't city public transportation.

2014 EC, which was discovered just Tuesday (March 4)

Scary, eh? The thing that finally takes us out may wind up being something we don't even see coming.

Ahhhh...come on.

We used to be good. And who doesn’t like the Red Sox? Or Pats?

Yes, the Celtic suck this year. But we have like five draft picks.

But, if you have to take out Boston, you could have done it yesterday. All of the pols were in town.

Interesting comparison:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaali_crater

Note that this one broke up “At an altitude of 5–10 km” and still had a pretty good wallop, including “Vegetation was incinerated up to 6 km from the impact site.”

So much for little ones not getting through to impact...

Marking it on my calendar, so I can wear a hard hat that week. No sense losing my head because of this.
