Louisiana Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal challenged President Obama to address cuts to Medicare Advantage when he visits senior-heavy Florida on Friday.
Obama plans to travel to Miami on Friday where he'll discuss education and the economy.
But Jindal, on the sidelines of the Conservative Political Action Conference, held a brief conference call where he urged Obama to address cuts affecting 1.3 million Florida seniors.
Jindal cited a report by from America's Health Insurance Plans, an industry group, which showed costs up an average of $50-$90 per month or reduced benefits next year. He also praised Florida Republican Gov. Rick Scott for being critical of these cuts.

Freepers knew. Saw it coming from miles away. In the end, we could do nothing little about it. We are suffering from the first two years of his administration ramming through Obamacare, TARP, and Porkulous.
It was down hill from there.
It’s sickening a White House would even care about campaign stuff right now. Yet they had an answer ready for this question.
It shows the kenyan cares more about his domestic image than dealing with the murdering KGB thug. Everything out of the White Hut calibrated for domestic consumption. Disgusting.
The GOP should call more attention to this, because seniors vote.
Bambi has gutted the Medicare Advantage program, which was actually a pretty good program, with policies ranging in price from $50 to $200 (or even more) per month, depending on what you wanted. A good plan was available at the lower rate, however, and provided good coverage. Many people had the Walmart plan, for example.
Now most of the plans are “free,” because the government pays for their administration - and their benefits are sharply reduced, the drug benefits in particular, and there are huge deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses. What little old lady on a $1200 a month pension can come up with a $5000 to $6000 per year deductible, not to mention the out of pocket charges? And, of course, the number of providers has shrunk and I’m sure their compensation has shrunk, too.
This should get a lot more coverage.

Seniors and Military should be the main focus as they are the largest voting population. And they are very discouraged now with the cut/gut of both healthcare systems. When we got our new Tricare Life booklet in, there were a lot of cuts on test, services, and medicines. They are trying to force us on 0’care and Express Scripts, which SUCKS big time. High refusal of Name Brand, wants you on all generics, cheapest ones, don’t know what country, manufacturer, and tossed up on your porch for some thief to steal. Co-pays have gone up twice in the last 3 yrs, and we expect another raise this Oct. So BOTH our healthcare’s are RATIONED!
