Mitch McConnell Hits the Panic Button (Senate Conservatives Fund email)

Fellow Conservatives:

Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has officially hit the panic button.

Mitch McConnell (R-KY)Despite telling the media for months that he's way ahead in the Republican primary race against conservative Matt Bevin (R-KY), Mitch McConnell is now lashing out with desperate attacks.

It started earlier this week with a deceptive campaign mailer that was designed to trick voters and to smear Matt Bevin. Here's how United Kentucky Tea Party described it:

"This past week the McConnell campaign sent thousands of mailers to Kentucky residents marked “Fraud Alert” without any identification as to who had sent the mailers. Kentuckians, concerned that their identities or credit card information may have been stolen, opened the mailers only to find that it was a political mailing from the McConnell campaign containing the same old mudslinging accusations that Senator McConnell has been trying to push for months now."

Now, Mitch McConnell has launched a new radio ad attacking Matt Bevin and conservatives like you, claiming that we are deceiving people. He's especially upset because SCF is running effective radio and TV ads that expose his record of voting for bailouts, more debt, higher taxes, and Obamacare funding.

We blew the whistle on his bailout hypocrisy and informed people that he was responsible for recommending the controversial liberal judge who just overturned Kentucky's ban on same-sex marriage.

Mitch McConnell is attacking conservatives because he's slipping in the polls and can't defend his record. He's done so much to help the Democrats that Harry Reid (D-NV) praised him this week after calling Ted Cruz one of the "crazies." Harry Reid said, "I like Mitch McConnell."

Fortunately, Kentucky Republicans have a conservative alternative.

SON OF A MITCH ODE(R)

We know what you’ve done,
You son of a gun,
You’ve wasted 5 years
An’ ‘nare put Obama on the run.

What evidence have you
To show to us,
That wasting a vote for you
Will increase our trust?

You have had your chance,
Now step aside.
You have failed Your Party,
And Country too,
We are through with RINOS,
And damn sure
Through with you!

“If McConnell loses, but the moderate GOP retains control, does that mean Cornyn is next in line to be the Senate GOP leader?”

Well, technically Cornyn is next in line but Lamar Alexander also wants to be Leader (but he’s also up for reelection). But say McConnell loses to either Bevin or Grimes, and the republicans have say 52-53 seats (could be more). 27 republicans would have to choose the leader, and it’s there that the battle will be.

My guess is that if Cornyn is not chosen as leader, then Ron Johnson would be a good choice. The establishment has been grooming him and he was elected in the 2010 wave and he’s sort of a conservative peacemaker between the two camps.

I’d like to see Mike Lee. He’s and intellectual powerhouse. We’ll see how this plays out.

Hopefully, they’ll be more successful than we were in Texas. Cornyn won his primary.

Any and all communications from Mitch McConnell should carry this warning label.

I wish he, and his ilk, would fight as hard against marxists! Alas, his true turn-coat, traitorous colors are being exposed. I can only hope that the good folks of KY aren’t fooled!

No, we sorely need voters who can see and hear and give a damn about what goes on.

No, we need the term limits. Too many people who know exactly what's going on vote for an asshole simply because he has lassoed some pork project that's helping the voters' bottom lines.

That photo is classic! Ann is on a local station here every Monday. I change the station now and don’t listen to a word she says.

First she supported Christie, then Romney, and now she supports McConnell. She’s obviously blind to establishment republican treachery.

She is 100% against amnesty, which is why she fell out of love with Cristy. However she seems to be open to election time conversions, me not so much.

“She is 100% against amnesty, which is why she fell out of love with Cristy.”

She’d have to be stupid not to know that moderate republican love Amnesty. And Christie is a moderate.

And she’s also have to be stupid not to know that McConnell (who she supports) is ALSO for amnesty. He voted for it in 2006 and 2007 and assisted Reid and Schumer to get the bill through the senate last year.

She’s one of the shysters she rails about. I’m not fooled.

” All rifle, no ammo”

I love this and might have to steal it! I laughed out loud when I saw him come on stage with the rifle! Nice ruse, Mitch!
