I hope someone has stolen your identity. Then when they grant them amnesty and the IRS demands that you pay their back taxes, you might think twice about forgiving all the crimes these people have committed.

Honesty isn’t a common trait among Paulites and libertarians.

Reality is we’re not going to send 11,00,000+ back.

Cops don't catch every traffic violator, either. But you can bet that enough get caught and with enough visiblity so that lawlessness on the highway isn't rampant the way it is on the border.

Secure the border. Start working on the lawbreakers you can catch. Put the rest on notice their turn is coming. Don't let illegal entry be easy, potentially lucrative, nor inconsequential.

Those links are from various news sites and somewhat outdated.

The quote I posted is from Rand’s web site and I assume it is his current stance on the issue.

http://www.paul.senate.gov/?p=issue&id=12

Regardless, if he runs, he will have to clarify his stance on immigration/amnesty.

At this point, I’ll go with what he says and what’s on his web site and not what’s on outdated news articles that may or may not be accurate or have been taken out of context.

Again, if he runs, he will have to clarify his position so hypothesizing and speculating based on news articles which may have a bias is pointless.

It appears we have another libtard troll amongst us.

Cruz didn't shut down the government.

I wish he had, but he didn't.

Go away troll

Cruz will bring the Hispanic vote and win POTUS easily.

Paul for VP (provided he doesn't do anything stupid in the interim)

I could get behind Walker, Cruz, and even Rand.

But anyone who runs on what amounts to an amnesty plan I cannot get behind.

Our best President was suckered into an amnesty deal in ‘86 that promised border security and it wasn’t even enforced. Amnesty didn’t work then and so no such thing will ever work.

Then Walker and Rand should be off your list.

Looks like Santorum is dead last at less than 1%.

Donald Trump has twice as many votes.

It's over for Sweater Vest Union loving wrestling lawyer guy.

He needs to find a new hobby.

Running for POTUS is just not working out.

Also it’s not practical to round up 12 Million people and deport them.

We need to do it on a basis when they come into contact with LEO or any other government agencies and if they are found to be here illegally, they are then deported.

At the same time, we seal our borders.

Deportation by attrition - those that come in contact with law enforcement, social services, medical services, any type of government agency and are found to be here illegally, they will be deported.

How do you propose we go about finding and rounding up 12 million people and deporting them?

We first need to take control of the Senate and pass anti-illegal alien laws, then elect a President that will enforce these laws and not veto them.

I suppose so. But I also give folks the chance to learn from their mistakes. These guys, if they run, have a whole primary season and election season to get it right.

"I do not support amnesty, I support legal immigration and recognize that the country has been enriched by those who seek the freedom to make a life for themselves. However, millions of illegal immigrants are crossing our border without our knowledge and causing a clear threat to our national security. I want to work in the Senate to secure our border immediately. In addition, I support the creation of a border fence and increased border patrol capabilities.

Immigrants should meet the current requirements, which should be enforced and updated. I realize that subsidizing something creates more of it, and do not think the taxpayer should be forced to pay for welfare, medical care and other expenses for illegal immigrants. Once the subsidies for illegal immigration are removed, the problem will likely become far less common.

I support local solutions to illegal immigration as protected by the 10th amendment. I support making English the official language of all documents and contracts.

Millions crossing our border without our knowledge constitutes a clear threat to our nation's security. Instead of closing military bases at home and renting space in Europe, I am open to the construction of bases to protect our border.

You make it impossible for them to get work and then you ask them to leave. In the interim, you cut off all government benefits.

Most of them will eventually self deport.

Personally, I believe we should give them the opportunity for citizenship but it would be with a few requirements

LOL!

The parasite criminal illegal alien invasion force (not all Hispanic by the way) are here because the the domestic communists want their votes and the blue blood country clubbers want the cheap labor.

Put anybody who employs illegals out of business and see how fast they self deport.

Encourage legal immigration from countries that emulate American values, like Australia, New Zealand, Germany, even Russia.

Lets bring in people that hate communism, not useless parasites.

Which is why I wrote “Deportation by attrition” and part of that read as “those that come in contact with law enforcement, social services, medical services, any type of government agency and are found to be here illegally, they will be deported.”

Too bad he is speaking out of both-sides of his mouth on this issue.

He is starting to sound like Myth Romney.
