New York high school student suspended for NRA pro-2nd Amendment T-shirt

A high school student in upstate New York was suspended for wearing an NRA T-shirt that touted the second amendment after he refused to turn it inside out or cover the words with duct tape.

Shane Kinney, a 16-year-old sophomore from Grand Island, located between Niagara Falls and Buffalo, served a one-day, in-school suspension Monday after he refused last Friday to turn his T-shirt inside out at the request of the vice principal at Grand Island High School. The shirt was emblazoned with the NRA logo and the words, “2nd Amendment Shall not be Infringed” across the back.

“Mr. Lauria [the vice principal] told me I had to either turn the shirt inside out or put duct tape over the words,” Shane Kinney told FoxNews.com. “I told them that I wasn’t going to do it. I had to sit in the suspension room and eat lunch alone until my father brought me a new shirt to school.”

Should have been a rainbow shirt that said “ok to be a queer kid”.

Then the teacher would have given him an automatic A+

Instead of "Dikes on Bikes," how about starting a group called "Fags with Mags." The tee-shirt logo could be the dark silhouette of a pistol with a rainbow colored magazine dropping out of the grip. The school administrators would be so conflicted that they would do nothing.

It's a good thing I'm not Shane’s
father I would have brought his
replacement shit along with my friend
who just happens to be my lawyer.
That's the one person school administrators
never want to meet.

If it had a picture of a gun on it he could have taken the shirt off and used the gun to kill people. I have no problem here in Oz wearing a “Guns And Moses” t-shirt honoring Israel.

“We need an NRA tshirt with a rainbow on it.”

There is a gay 2nd amendment group Pink Pistols. I wonder if they sell shirts.

I’m willing to bet if it was a “handgun control inc” shirt nothing would have been said.

New York public schools have already redacted second amendment from education materials?

IIRC, NY State had a Constitutional Convention in the 1930s in which it repealed its version of the U.S. Second Amendment. Any corrections will be appreciated.

When defending these policies, we get told that they are doing this to create an environment where children will not “want to use guns.”

Yet, these same people fight to teach sex to kindergardners and they claim that this will help the children learn responsible sex....

Things that make you go hmmmm....

Oh, yeah! I’m afraid that vice principal would have needed to schedule reconstructive surgery on his a$$ when I finished with him.

“There is a gay 2nd amendment group Pink Pistols”

They don’t sell shirts, as far as I could see. But they have a strong anti-bully message: Pick on someone your own caliber.

Should go well in a high school!
