March 14, 2014, 11:53 am President defends his pants
By Justin Sink
President Obama complained during an interview Friday with Ryan Seacrest that he has been "unfairly maligned" for his jeans selection.
"I've been unfairly maligned about my jeans," Obama told the radio host. "The truth is, generally, I look very sharp in jeans. There was one episode like four years ago in which I was wearing loose jeans, mainly because I was out on the pitchers mound and didn't want to feel confined while I was pitching."
Earlier this month, former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin mocked Obama's "mom jeans" while criticizing his handling of the Russian incursion into Crimea.
People are looking at Putin as one who wrestles bears and drills for oil, Palin told Fox News. They look at our president as one who wears mom jeans and equivocates and bloviates.
An employee at a Gap store that the president visited earlier this week in New York alluded to the criticism in a prior interview with Seacrest, but said she didn't try to sell the president a new pair while he was in the store.
Obama said that his daughters were pleased with the sweaters he picked out during the outing, meant to promote his push to raise the minimum wage to $10.10 per hour.
"They thought that for a dad, I displayed reasonably good taste," Obama said. "The bar is fairly low, but I didn't get too adventurous."
Obama added that he had played it conservative by only looking at sweaters and T-shirts for his famously fashionable daughters.
"When you start getting into pants or shoes, then you're doomed," he quipped.
George Bush wore a bullet-proof vest and it didn't bother him.
It's hard to believe he's defending himself against something that happened how many years ago(?!) instead of just laughing about it.
Not sure why Palin still bothers him so much. He won, right? Shouldn't he be out playing golf or something like usual?
Yeah...mebbe. But he still throws like a girl.
Gotta be Satire. But did John Semmens write it?
He already told the media not to mention his big ears. That steering bidness, ya know.
Well, he’s gay.
Good Lord this man is an idiot! Its not about your pants fool..
The US is freaking falling apart at the seams, and this guy is fawning and gossiping like a teenage girl!!!!
That trip to the GAP was just a photo op for him, his polls are sliding and he needed to get out there and look like an average parent shopping!!! give me a break.

Pitching? I coached baseball for 25 years, he looked like someone trying to throw using their off arm.
I'd say he trows like a girl but that would be an insult to my mom, wife, and daughter who all throw better than 0.
Before making such sweeping accusations, you really ought to check in with Reggie Love, OK? I mean, maybe they're just good friends.
Our trusty MSM reporters would certainly let us know if the guy were gay, it were true. After all, look at the way they covered J. Edgar and Clyde, Rock Hudson ... Liberace. Besides I am allatime reading in the tabloids that ole Michelle is just furious with Barry for keeping in touch with old GF's! He has so many, that he had to kind of roll'em all into one "composite" squeeze to save time in his memoirs.
You may be overly influenced by stuff like that his Nanny was a transvestite poofta over there in Indonesia. Or that he was sweet on a coupla Pakis (I mean Pockees) or that he and Reggie are inseparable on the road.
All that is easily explained as he just might be a touchy-feely, hand-holding, guy-kissing kinda guy who likes puttering with drapery while wearing comfy jeans and such. Like totally normal.
Honi soit qui mal y pense, I am always sayin'.
Don’t go off half-cocked ping
and that goes double for you, N&V -ping
- maybe a little bloooooooooooooooooo
Double half cocked? Would I need two for that?
Shamed be me.
