ObamaCare Defender Forced to Try ObamaCare says, “I Feel Like a Dupe”.
William Rivers Pitt was Dennis Kucinich’s press secretary. He co-wrote a book with notorious pedophile and Saddam cover-up artist Scott Ritter.
That was last year. This year Pitt tried ObamaCare. His response was enthusiastic and unprintable.

If only there were NO insurance companies, everything would be okay. Right?
Sweet WRP Ping.
“El Daniel” is running with a PITTster thread! Sadly, no mention of you as the first to carry it...
Go with that thought, Pitt.
Liberals are such potty mouths. By the way, as I’ve said 100 times before, it’s a little too late for this BS. We knew this 20 years ago with Hillarycare.
Also, there’s no doubt in my mind that this ying yang, along with every other lib ying yang, will vote dem for as long as they live. And beyond.
Even the military - where there has been some semblance of disassociation from "government" - has finally been drawn into the toilet bowl along with every other PC government program, and it is, predictably, turning to crap.
Like the plot of a Greek tragedy the protagonist realizes EVERYTHING he believes is a lie.
When you get to a point of four-member family costing $9,000 a year in costs, and $6,000 in deductible costs before the insurance kicks in...why would you even bother with a insurance company?
I’d stand there with absolutely no insurance....walk in when I had something drastic of a high-cost nature and demand them to sign me up, and use my wits to save or value the normal $15,000 for medical costs.
This whole gimmick is rigged for a massive fall within ten years. I can see five to eight percent of the public quitting the game each and every year. When you get up to fifty percent of the nation not playing....it’s all downhill from that point on. Any economic expert can build the model and show in five minutes that it’s a shake-down with serious consequences as time goes by and is accepted less and less.
Just the deductible means this plan is of no help to a family with kids.
I can see a single or a childless couple having bought a catastrophic plan with such a high deductible prior to ObamaCare. They'd be gambling on their health, and they'd probably be making a good gamble.
But forking over $6000 bucks before you even begin to get coverage means that for most years you simply don't have coverage.
Mr. Pitt, Obama has a solution for your high costs: Cancel your cable TV.
Now see...there you go...trying to bring back that ancient topic of catastrophic health-care packages. This was batted around in the 1980s, 1990s and the last decade. No one wants to put that on the table because insurance companies won’t make money that way. I’d readily agree...a family ought to handle it’s own bills as long as it’s $10k or less a year, and then rely on some catastrophic package for everything over that amount. We could whittle this whole thing down to seventy-five dollars a month and suddenly everything would be affordable and realistic.
The assumption is that if everything were under the control of just a few or one benevolent elite person,
that it would all “work” right and be a panacea.
This is why they blame the insurance companies, because they are working for “profit” and not operating as completely elite benevolent overseers.
Of course. That was my point. :-)
Translation:
1) ObamaCare doesn’t do enough. He wanted a single-payer system without insurance companies.
2) Greedy bast...’s mad cause he didn’t get free medicine with his subsidized policy. It’s so unfair.
3) Having just seen the epic failure of a partial takeover of health care by Big Brother, he would support a 100% takeover tomorrow, expecting different results. (Hopefully it will have mental health benefits).
Suggestions for the Pitts: Get a “job”; create enough wealth to pay for your own health care instead of expecting someone else to; become adults; run your own lives.
Basically, he supported it on the premise that
he would get everything he wanted on demand at no cost to himself.
Yep, greedy bastid. Greedy, stooooopid bastid.
Greedy, THIEVING, stupid bastid.
This is the kind of story that warms the cockles of my heart. This bastard is one of many liberal geniuses who were mocking us a scant four months ago as Neanderthals living in the past. All of a sudden when he is forced to live under the stupidity of the liberals he is outraged. Newsflash it’s not just the rich people who are having to pony up to support a permanent minority under class....it’s those of us who go to work every day and try to do the right things. welcome to the real world my friend!!!
Pitt thought, just like the rest of the liberals, that he would be getting something for nothing (the medication) when he found out that he actually had to pay he got pissed. Typical liberal.
