A fed-up father has asked a judge for a restraining order against a 9-year-old boy accused of verbally and physically assaulting his son at his school in Fairfield.

The student, a fourth grader at Rolling Hills Elementary said he was terrorized by the school bully.

Stephen Feudner, the boy’s father, said he was stonewalled by the school for months, which prompted him to go to court. “It was my last resort,” he said.

Citing privacy issues, Feudner said the school wouldn’t tell him much about what happened or about the boy accused of bullying.

“I tried everything else so why not try that? And it was granted,” Feudner said.

Why did he not just teach his son how to fight? My Dad always told me to learn to fight my own battles. Now the boy will be looked upon as a total wuss! Like most of his generation, he will become an overprotected mamma’s boy, without the stones to get down in the dirt.

Teach your son to standup fir himself and beat that bully on the nose.,

They always cave and a proper attitude adjustment ensues, while the son lewrns an invaluable lesson.

They’ve pu$$ified us to that point where we can’t even tell our kids to stand up against a bully and give him a fat lip without having CPS visit our home...

Because then the school will have his son arrested for assault because the system is that screwed up.

So you wait your opportunity, when the kid is someplace other than school - say on a Saturday at the playground - upon which opportunity you pummel his face in - and throw in a few kicks to the family jewels for good measure. The only way to defeat a bully is to knock his teeth out - all of them, if you can manage the task.

Yea a Black eye is defiantly in order. Had a big guy pick on me as a kid I finally broke his nose. I was 10 and he was 13.
His Mom came and whined to the Old Man, he had been watching the situation and he just asked her if she needed a broken nose also, and that my mother would oblige. 1963 of course!

My son tells his son (who has been in martial arts for years) to use whatever force necessary to protect him or his sister. Just to never act out of anger...

I’m sure they can take care of themselves. He (my 11 YO grandson could probably land me on my back)

The system is absolutely screwed up.

But I actually think it stems from the times we live in.

Geezer speak...back when I was a young’un we stayed out all day in the summer and until dark during the week in the winter...with no adult supervision. We learned to settle our own differences and how to get along.

Today, kids can’t go outside alone because some pervert might grab them. Their parents have become “helicopter parents”...with good reason. But sadly the kids suffer because of that. There is no progression in social skills.

It’s a sad thing. I feel sorry for the kids.

.......exactly what they did in my small elementary school in the late fifties in rural Central Texas. If two boys were having problems Mr. Jones would put them in the boxing ring (as long as they were approximately the same size). Without exception, this resolved the issues between the two boys and they left each other alone.

Leading up to ring action, he would tell both sides that “if you two guys don’t get along, I’m gonna put you in the ring”. Many times this ended it.

If a situation arose where a larger kid was picking on a smaller kid Mr. Jones had the fix for that too. He would paddle his ass with a board (flattened baseball bat with holes in it!) immediately! And, I do mean immediately.

Mr. Jones raised a whole generation of “young men”. I loved the guy. Still do. He was a huge influence on my life.

in days of yore when we all watched “leave it to beaver”, that approach worked. instead in a few years the kid will go postal on his tormentors. if i were a school administrator i’d be attentive to the risk factor here.

I’ve been the supervising adult out on the playground with a gang of four bullies, whom I promptly caught and put in time out standing by the building.

The father should have gone to the school for a day and observed. He could have picked out the bully easily.

In my case, I reported the abusive students to the administration and they did nothing.

A few weeks later, a child was killed at that school by a gang of four kids. I could have told the court who they were!

Fighting will get you expelled (not suspended, expelled) and possibly a felony put on your record, depending on how the assault charge goes. Definite juvie time, or adult prison if you're 16+. It's been that way since the 90s, when I was in high school.

Yup, that's what they did with my dad back in the late 60s.

Apparently this guy has some issues:

Back in November he was picketing the school about traffic issues and was asked to leave the grounds.

I remember vividly in 5th grade, beating up a kid who thought he would bully me. I kicked his azz.

Same thing in High School.

All you have to do is stand your ground.

The people in DC need the same treatment.

They WILL fold.

I fought the class bully when I was in 4th grade and won. (And I’m a girl!). Really, it just took a few good, tough words and one running charge, and he ran the other way. From then on no problem!

“Why did he not just teach his son how to fight?”

I learned in the 4th grade that a 2x4 can be a VERY effective tool when dealing with bullies.

It’s too bad we now live in the wussified states.
