Guinea's capital Conakry was on high alert on Friday after a deadly Ebola epidemic which has killed dozens in the southern forests was confirmed to have spread to the sprawling port city of two million people.
Eight cases have been confirmed in the capital, the Guinean health ministry said late Friday, including one fatality.

The above is probably a “blog” I guess so I don’t think I can post it on FR as its own thread. But it talks about the Optimism Bias and “Risk Gap”. In the blog it is about people building homes at the base the known landslide near Oso, Washington. But much of what it talks about applies elsewhere.
“Engineering methods to stabilize the hillside” may equate to “modern healthcare facilities in the United States”.

" The governors said regions have taken all necessary measures for the effective implementation of this decision," said the source
The prefect of Vélingara located in the Kolda region had already decided to close the weekly market Diaobé , one of the most famous in the sub -region , where thousands of people gather each week from the Gambia Guinea, Guinea- Bissau and Senegal.
The Ebola virus , which emerged in Guinea in January, continues to grow in this country where it is reported a total of 111 suspected cases including 70 deaths , according to a report released Friday by the Guinean Ministry of Health.
Eight cases of hemorrhagic fever , including one death , were recorded and the last two days in Conakry, the Guinean capital , hitherto spared Has it reported the same source.
The vast majority of cases were reported in the cities and regions of southern Guinea , considered the center of the epidemic . The most affected areas are Guékédou ( 51 deaths out of 73 cases) and Macenta ( 12 deaths out of 22 cases).
I think that for humanitarian reasons the victims should be brought to Washington D.C. for care and treatment. Congress in its investigatory mode could interview the sufferers.
Let’s face it, the DOJ should get first crack...Holder himself.
Maybe the victims could take the White House tour while they’re in town?
