It gets the morality of the story wrong, and in the process turns God into Gaia and morality into radical deep green environmentalism.

But we know what our leaders would say about the uproar and death that would ensue ...

“What difference does it make?”

Great movie. Saw it this morning. Be sure to read what most evangelicals ignore “This movie was INSPIRED by the biblical account of Noah”. Absolutely great special effects and Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly should be nominated for academy awards. It’s great being Catholic and being able to appreciate good works of art. This movie in no way was supposed to be 100% based on scripture. It’s great. I’m going to go see it again tomorrow.

The rainbow in the Bible is God’s promise that he would never destroy the earth by flood again. Homosexuals have destroyed the real meaning of the rainbow.

Where’s the outrage at Hollywood completely destroying the original version of 300 Spartans, the classic that came out in the 60s starring Richard Egan; now with that fantasy cartoon crap called 300. How about the classic Spartacus, starring Kirk Douglas, being completed destroyed in the Starz garbage that should be rated XXX. Or the Tarzan movies, or the Hercules movies, and last but not least why did all the evangelicals love that Son of God movie, when it twisted scripture around so much it was hardly recognizable. Putting words in Jesus mouth he never said, showing Mary Magneline in every scene like she was one of his apostles, showing Jesus falling and his mother talking to him as he was on the ground. Where was the outrage. The movie tacky TV garbage, but promoted by most on FR.

Movies made by the progressives and or Christ deniers....it is what it is...

Sadly it was once that respectful movies were made....by the old guard

From the same gene pool

Just demonstrates how times have changed badly

I would honestly prefer “The Ten Commandments” with Charlton Heston over plenty of other “Bible films” nowadays.

NKP Vet seems to be bouncing around Free Republic, copying and pasting his rave reviews on every thread about this piece of blasphemes crap.

A lot of folks have already said the majority of Hollywood's “Christian Movie” offerings suck. Since “300 Spartans” isn't part of my beliefs I'm not particularly concerned about liberties taken with that story. I don't watch the “Starz garbage that should be rated XXX...the Tarzan movies, or the Hercules movies...” you seem obsessed with. However, there is a difference between a Biblical story and a myth. You ought to learn the difference.

Most of those on FR seem disgusted by your “Noah” movie and don't want to give our hard earned Conservative dollars to the Collectivist hypocrites in Hollyweird!

Why don't you go start a fan site because your marketing mission isn't panning out here!

Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord
That is the reason the Scriptures record
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Well the Lord looked down from His window in the sky and said
I created man but I don`t remember why
Nothin` but fightin` since creation day
I`ll send a little water and I`ll wash`em all away.

So the Lord came down to look around a spell
And there He found Noah behavin` mighty well
And that is the reason the Scriptures record
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord
That is the reason the Scriptures record
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

The Lord said Noah there`s gonna` be a flood
And there`s gonna be some water and there`s gonna be some mud
Take off your hat Noah and take off your coat
Get a handshave and shave that and build yourself a boat.

Noah said Lord I don`t believe I could
The lord said Noah get some sturdy gopher wood
Ya never know what you can do till you try
Build it 50 cubits wide and 30 cubits high.

Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord
That is the reason the Scriptures record
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Noah said there it is, there it is Lord
The Lord said Noah it`s time to get aboard
Now take a creature a he and a she
And of course Mrs. Noah and the whole family.

Noah said Lord it`s gettin` mighty dark
The Lord said Noah get these creatures in the ark
Noah said Lord it`s beginnin` to pour
The Lord said Noah hurry up and shut the door.

Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord
That is the reason the Scriptures record
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Well the ark rose up on the foot of the deep
And after 40 days Mr.Noah took a peek said
We ain`t movin` Lord where are we at
The Lord said you`re sittin` on a mount Ararat.

Noah said Lord it`s gettin` mighty dry
The Lord said Noah see My rainbow in the sky
Take all the creatures and people to earth
And don`t be more trouble than you`re worth.

Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord
And he landed high and dry
And he landed high and dry.

And he landed high and dry...

There was an artwork of Jesus on a crucifix submerged in the artist’s urine. Obviously that was “inspired” by the story of Jesus, but the spirit involved was antichrist. Knowing the Bible, I know that by-and-large God doesn’t care about us being entertained, or about so-called “great art.” When the disciples tried to call Jesus’ attention to the great artwork of the Temple, Jesus immediately told them that one day not a stone would remain of it. And Jesus and the New Testament writers often tell us to beware. Paul said he warned his flock day and night with tears. There are real spiritual dangers here. As Christians, can we truthfully say that today’s entertainment isn’t immoral, or that it isn’t spiritually harmful to people, or that God doesn’t care about it being immoral or the spiritual harm it’s doing?
