Poll: Sarah Palin tops list of women Americans want to run for president
The Washington Examiner ^ | March 27, 2014 | Paul Bedard

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the darling of the Tea Party movement, tops a new list of women other than Hillary Clinton who Americans want to run for president.

A series of Economist/YouGov polls, wrapped up in an article released this week, found overwhelming support for women candidates and a woman president, and has Palin on top of eight women most often mentioned by voters as their top choice to run.

Because Clinton is the runaway favorite potential woman candidate in a number of polls, the Economist/YouGov poll asked this question: “Other than Hillary Clinton, is their any other woman you would want to run for president either in 2016 or 2020?”(continued)

RE:”I think she was gearing up for a run in 2012 - she was making all the moves and then suddenly something changed and I could see it on her face in interviews. ....
But think about it - her entire family was completely slandered - even the youngest child - ......
I hate them for what they did to her and I think the GOPe was almost as bad as the rats.”

Well that's much more romantic than reality.

Reality is that she told FNC execs that she was not running in Spring 2011 when Newt and Santurum were suspended when they had to tell FNC that they were running.
FNC could not legally keep her on as a political commentator if she was running.

But it was good money for FNC as well as the MSM channels to keep those fictional running segments on her :”If she running? What if she does?” till October when she finally fessed up

And Sarah made out like a bandit until she felt forced to admit she wasn't really running.

The bus tours and teases on Greta all played it up.

Yep, the foolish rats ran off the cliff.

I alone here was warning that she would not run. But many just live to be wrong. And being wrong seems to be a rite of passage with many.

See thats the thing. If people would complain about her policies or positions, there would be no issue. Contrary to the belief of the PDS wing, most of her supporters are not cultists. But how often does a PDSer EVER bring up policy/positions? Almost never. Because she is WAY over 80% and that was the traditional threshold for conservatism. They just rehash lib talking points like any other liberal.

Logical conclusion: they do not want conservatism to succeed.

That, plus you actually admit that you are a troll, and enjoy it.

I admitted that I sometimes troll, I mentioned that I sometimes like to argue/debate.
I like how you, Ansel, can take honest self-assessment and twist it into a almost personal attack.

You admit that you post just to get under freeper’s skin about Palin.

Not freepers — her cult of personality: those that engage in hero worship.

The fact that we have people openly trolling and fighting an anti-Palin war here, is pretty strange.

The most anti-Palin thing I've said is that I find her continual support of McCain as worthy of questioning her suitability for national governance — it is you (and others) take my holding a different opinion as some sort of 'crazy… actually, with you, the holding of any contrary opinion is cause for your very hostile and caustic attacks.

I know that it is too early to have to be dealing with a hard core troll platoon, here we are trying to have a tea party, Palin, 2014 election cycle, and instead it we have threads being heavily trolled by anti-Palin/Ron Paul/libertarian types/Romney types.

The two almost always go together. Then there's the misogynists, the “screechy voice” objectors, the “she's already been destroyed by the media” types and the ones who still claim she's an idiot.

this is not a debate site.

So then you are saying that there is no room in an online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism to discuss things?

I wasn't aware that [independent] conservatism had no room for any diversity of opinion.

the misogynists

That is one of the most bizarre, but that also accounts for much of the mysterious passion and dedication of the anti-Palin trolls.

Some of them have been overt in that attack.

We may all have our differences on other matters but most of us seem to be able to come together to support actual conservatives.

The fact that some people are actively working to trash one at this stage is something we see in past liberal/Rovian strategy. So are they liberal or GOP hacks? Because trashing conservatives over personal pet peves and personality conflicts is anything BUTR a conservative reaction to things.

People just don’t want to believe their fellow freeepers are ‘not what tey appear to be”

But some ARE what they appear to be.

So another libertarian Paul backer who is anti-Palin.

Do you realize how goofy you sound? I did not say one single, solitary negative word about Palin herself in my post, only her more rabid-and-vocal supporters online. How in the world does that make me "anti-Palin"?

Thanks for proving the underlying point, however.

I agree with that 100%. I live in AZ, and she's worn out her welcome with me. I'm sure the cult will be calling me another troll now, as they have before. This thing with McCain has me doubting her character because she owes a debt to him that she is not disclosing.

I admitted that I sometimes troll, I mentioned that I sometimes like to argue/debate.

Trolling is forbidden here, and this is not a debate site, trolling isn't about debate anyway, it is trolling, an effort to derail threads and conservative political discussions and planning and activism, in this case 2014 and Palin's major role and how to enhance and reinforce her effectiveness.

Conservatives at FR have things to discuss for 2014, and Palin is front and center in many of those discussions, we don't need trolls breaking those up.
