Just had a very large violent quake here in So Cal. Scary.
How long did it last?
Anything come off the shelves?
5.4 La Habra again. stuff knocked down, but nothing broken so far.
5.3 in La Habra, felt it in my car near Pomona when I pulled into the parking space. Some small items fell from shelves this time... First time in a long time that’s happen.
Stay safe! I have seen some comments on other webforums, everyone seems to be scrambling for information.
Prayers for the people of SoCal.
Dang. Be safe Yogafist.
Felt it in northern San Diego area as slight short shake.
USGS says 5.4 at LaHabra
At least 20 seconds and my dogs got worried.
Felt here in Cypress, Orange County. A big jolt with some rolling. I don’t know how far away I am from the epicenter. I would say maybe a 4.5-5 in my neighborhood.
Wasn’t that long but very violent shaking. Swayed for a few seconds after that.
Can we maybe change the description?
I mean it was significant, but not huge.
Felt here in Victorville. Large jolt.
Leland Yee: “Fire!”
5.4 my butt. That was a good shaker in La Palma
5.4 is not “very large”. I’ve been in after shocks bigger than that:)
Hugh and Series.
We are about 90 miles from it. House was moving side to side. Ceiling lamp swaying, chair swaying side to side. No shaking. It was like being on a one of those chair swings that hang on a porch.
First quake was a foreshock; this looks like the main shock? There are going to be rolling aftershocks.
Looks like a moderate southern California earthquake. It isn’t the Big One, that is for sure.
Its exciting to live through. We don’t have earthquake country here in Colorado.
You are a lot closer to the center than I am.
3 or 4 seconds. I’m about 30 miles from La Habra.
