Conservative activist Ben Shapiro is leading up an online charge of fellow political compadres to boycott the browser Firefox — an outraged response to the Mozilla chief’s departure from his CEO role due to gay rights’ protests.
Former CEO Brendan Eich, who’s been with Mozilla since its creation and actually helped found the company’s charitable offshoot foundation in 1998, announced this week he’s stepping down from the role over a flap generated by a $1,000 donation he made to a California campaign that sought to ban same-sex marriage in the state.

I just noticed that there is an Opera shortcut on my desktop labeled “Bookmarks.” I clicked on it and it opens a page with all of my old IE bookmarks on a web page sorted by folder. I can search the page and find the bookmarks. Not exactly convenient but not entirely useless. I will give Safari a try too.
I never saw that shortcut, but I didn’t look for it either. Maybe I’ll install it one more time and see if I have one too.

Right side, drop-down search engines... Manage Search Engines, specify what you want.
Not anti-first amendment OR freedom as it isn’t government action so the First Amendment does not apply. It’s a private issue. That being said ... I certainly signed the petition.

Firefox is toast. There are too many alternative browsers. I used Firefox exclusively ever since it first came out. But not anymore. We are not alone. Even liberals are dropping Firefox over this issue.
Forcing Eich to resign was the stupidest corporate decision I have ever seen. The employees who called for his resignation will soon be joining the ranks of the unemployed. Eich took the money and ran. These idiots will have no money to take.
I just completed the deletion of Firefox. What a pain. But it had to be done.
I think many of us are walking away from Firefox. I’m using Opera on one of my computers...and am NOT using Firefox on any of them.
I am really, truly, SICK of homosexuals trying to force the rest of society to celebrate their lifestyle choice.
Well that's why they are free. In exchange for a free browser, you give up some of your privacy so that the owner of the browser can determine your demographic and sell that data to advertisers so they can target ads at you.
This is why browsers are free.
I suppose an entrepreneur can come out with a browser that does not track you and charge $9.95 a month for the privilege. However, I do not think that would be successful. Everybody has come to expect that browsers are free.
I hate to beat a dead horse, but there is no "File," there is no "menu bar," there is nothing that looks like a menu bar like you see on other browsers.
All I get, when I download and load the latest Opera, is a button in the upper left hand corner that says "Opera." Then there are two tabs, one that says "Speed Dial" and one that says "Welcome to Opera."
That's it. What am I missing?
I'm getting extremely frustrated with Opera and the things folks are telling me that aren't there.

Click on the “Opera” button. A menu should drop down with a selection table. Of course, you can always hit F1 for more information as well.
I have Opera 20. The button in the top left has a drop down menu. On that menu there is no choice labeled “File.” Under More Tools there is a Bookmark Import function but it’s grayed out.
I don’t have the File function and under settings you can add Duck Duck Go as a search engine but you can only make one of a select few (Google, Bing, Yahoo, Amazon, and Wikipedia) the default search.
Been using Opera Mini on my phones for years. Love it.
I installed Opera yesterday. POS set itself as the default browser. The hell with that.
