>> Reverend Meeks speaking on one of the Fox shows, although he is VERY willing to change parties for governor he CLEARLY STATED he believes Obammies policies are just fine and would SURELY vote for him AGAIN if of course he could run again!!! <<

Meeks is a hardcore leftist Democrat on every issue besides abortion and gay marriage (and by "hardcore", I mean this guy is so liberal he makes Al Franken blush). He's only endorsing Rauner because his combine masters told him to, and promoting him from the pulpit so Rauner can woo a few black voters who otherwise would never vote Republican. All they need is the black vote to go from 95% Quinn in 2010 to 90% Quinn in 2014 and Rauner could squeak in.

The media is playing it up with headlines like "Meeks abandons Dem Party", which of course is total BS -- Meeks is still good graces with the RAT party bosses and is supporting all the other marxist Dems further down the ticket.

What really sickens me is that Rauner will likely win and Oberweis will likely get crushed for reasons that have nothing to do with idealogy, but the GOP establishment will have yet another example to use why conservatives are "unelectable in Illinois" and we need to run more RINOs in the future to "win".

Makes me sick just thinking about it.

Did y'all see the latest Rauner commercial where he says, "I'm a Republican", then his wife chimes in, "I'm a Democrat!"

Almost busted my TV. I'll gladly put a "Don't Blame Me I Voted For Bill Brady" bumper sticker on the back of my car.

The only thing about the GOP Primary that surprised me was how many dems jumped in to vote for Dillard. I looked at the numbers in the Truax/Milkman race and there was around 100K more votes in the Gov Race. Too bad the dims didn't vote for Truax, thinking Oberweiss would be tougher to beat, guess they were just lazy. Atleast, we'd then have one candidate on the GOP Ticket to support.

Well, at least we know Mrs. Rauner is telling the truth. Too bad Rahm's vacation buddy can't be as honest.

There were quite a few cut-off-your-nose-to-spit-in-your face "Tea Party" types in 2010 that announced they were "staying home" because Bill Brady wasn't perfect and "We can do better than him". The most conservative GOP nominee in 60 years and they decided to throw a temper tantrum because he voted the wrong way on one or two bills. Well, I guess we found out what their idea of "better" is in 2014, with so many self-appointed "Tea Party leaders" in Illinois endorsing liberal combiner Bruce Rauner in the primary. I fully intend to return the favor they gave us in 2010 by stabbing Bill Brady in the back. Screw Rauner and the donkey he rode in on.

I haven't seen it yet.

Disgusting. And I'm sorry that's just wrong, the damn Governor can't literally be sleeping with the enemy. Can't trust a guy who has a dem whispering in his ear every night. Even if I liked the guy that would still trouble me, but offhand I can't think of a decent Republican with an enemy spouse.

They obviously weren't given any instructions on other races from their union masters. I'd think that the rats would prefer to face Oberdouche, since he's a 100% certain loser.

I have no problem with our candidates against old man White and Princess Lisa, but they are sadly both going to lose, badly. White is senile.

The worst all of is Topkina running against Paul Simon's daughter, vomit.

In 2012, in Illinois, Obama got 58% of the vote. That proves that the majority of IL voters vote for Democrats, for high offices. I’m being optimistic when I predict that Quinn will get 53%.

Christ Phil, Obama was popular here and Romney didn't contest the state. Quinn got 47% last time cheating against a downstate Republican who didn't have the full throated support of some in his own party and he's LESS popular now. And he doesn't have Scott Lee Cohen on the ballot this time taking the votes of disaffected democrats who may otherwise have voted for Brady.

He needs a Rauner scandal to win by an eyelash, 53%? When pigs fly (and the when the Green candidate drops out, the last one got almost 3% at Quinn's expense).

Blago in 2002 got 52%, when the GOP was ripe for defeat after the George Ryan scandal. Quinn is going to top that in a bad year for democrats? Are you serious? Come on.

But you know this race has nothing to do with GOP vs. Democrat, don’t you ?

Phil, buddy... you’re right there in the middle of things, you’ve got to see what’s going on. It’s high farce. What “proof” do you require where the Combine’s shenanigans are concerned ?

I don’t know. Please show me any kind of proof that you have that the governor race isn’t about republican vs. democrat. I’ve heard about the combine for about the last five years.

Phil, what has Rauner done for the GOP ? Ask yourself that. He’s a puppet for Rahm. Is he actively working for the ticket ? Of course not. This is solely about himself. Ditto for Kirk. This is about replacing one Combiner (Quinn) with another (Rauner). Kirk has already endorsed Durbin for reelection and there won’t be so much as a single finger lifted to help Oberweis (I did not endorse Oberweis, but that doesn’t mean he should not be helped for the general). Durbin is the anointed Combiner choice for DC, just as Kirk is, both working for the same agenda and same corrupt political machine, as Rauner will be once installed in Springfield.

It’s pretty clear here that this has nothing to do with GOP vs. Democrat, it’s just one big Combiner love-fest, and if you’re not with them, you’re to be destroyed. Until Combiner influence in the IL GOP is utterly obliterated, these kinds of false-choice show “races” will continue for perpetuity. You’ve got to know that, Phil.
