Breaks my heart to see this. And he's right. This fed action is just to set a precedent.

“Them son of a bitches will fire the next shot heard round the world, and WE will fire the rest.”

I’ve been worried these people were going to throw their lives away.

They are choosing to sacrifice them to a purpose.

This is the Alamo. This is flyover country saying “enough”.

The current Acting Deputy Director (Programs and Policy) of the BLM was a lackey of Harry Reid.

Oh, how twee... they were married in the Universal Life "church." The church that holds no doctrine and merely believes that everyone should "do what's right" (according to whom?) and that "We are one." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Life_Church

The worst of this is that the disturbance the cows induce and fertilization they leave behind are just what the forbs that feed the tortoises really need. This is not a question of “either/or.”

He NAILED it! N.A.I.L.E.D. it.

Cliven Bundy was legally obligated to pay grazing fees to use land that he does not own. Even so, there is NO reason for this extreme show of force. This is about the federal government flexing its muscle.

And did I read that right... This Kornze at age 31 was the "senior policy advisor" on forestry and mining to Harry Reid? Has Neil Kornze ever held a job in either of those industries? So this little weasel *#@! is going to get a bunch of people killed because now he's in charge over industries and lives that he knows absolutely nothing about?

He graduated with a Masters from Walla Walla. So do the math on that. If he was on the fast collegiate track, he completed his Bachelors at 21. Immediately went into grad school, finished by 23. And a mere 7 years later is a "senior policy advisor" to the most corrupt politician in the Senate? Isn't that special.

I have felt each time before, at Ruby Ridge and Waco, that these deliberate and easily avoided homicides were EXAMPLES.

This is Washington D.C. sponsored terror. The fact that they beat the younger Bundy and never arrested him proves it here. They had no legal grounds to beat him or they would have arrested him. It was to make an example. To US.

I wish enough local people would show up to out flank the BLM thugs and surround them with lots of video cams. Perhaps this is the beginning of "The American Spring".

Sorry, this guy misses the biggest point of all. Who owns the land? The US Government does. As the owner, it has the right to decide how that land is to be used ... PERIOD. Anything else is turning our backs on private property rights.

Of course the federal government owns the land and has the right to make the rules.

But why such a show of force over cattle and not illegals? The latter causes exponentially more damage to the land. Both are trespassers.

It's definitely not about tortoises. The BLM is killing hundreds of them.

Desert tortoise faces threat from its own refuge August 25, 2013

Back at the conservation center, a large refrigerator labeled "carcass freezer" hummed in the desert sun as scientists examined the facility's 1,400 inhabitants to find those hearty enough to release into the wild. Officials expect to euthanize more than half the animals in the coming months in preparation for closure at the end of 2014.

More glaring proof that the FedMob is incapable of managing lands or wildlife.
