After 70 years of Communism, there was a spiritual vacuum in Russia. Its slowly being repaired.

Post-Communist Russia is not completely up to our standards but its been less than 20 years since the Soviet Union fell.

In 1993 there were 2.34 abortions for every live birth.
By 2012 there were 0.57 abortions for every live birth.

They are definitely heading in the right direction.
