Russia’s military carried out a flight test of a new multi-warhead intercontinental ballistic missile on Monday amid growing tensions with the United States over the crisis in Ukraine.
The SS-27 Mod 2 road-mobile ICBM was launched around 2:40 a.m. EST from Russia’s Plesetsk launch facility, located about 500 miles north of Moscow.
“The main purpose of the launch is to validate the reliability of a batch of this class of missiles made at the Votkinsk Plant,” Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Yegorov told state-run Interfax-AVN.
An unspecified number of simulated nuclear warheads landed at an impact range on the Kura test range on the Kamchatka Peninsula, in the Russian Far East, Yegorov said. The distance is around 3,500 miles.

As the US keeps up with its’ unilateral disarmament except when it comes to the civilian defense force that attacked the Bundy ranch. Now we know what he meant by civilian defense force. Not to protect but to protect from.
At the same time, Obama, working on behalf of America’s enemies, is dismantling the U.S. multiple warhead ICBMs, ensuring that each missile only carries a single warhead. Irrespective of design capabilities.
AND, Obama is castrating our SLBM force by disabling several launch tubes in each Sub.
Did I mention that Obama has also ensured our most advanced aircraft are NOT nuclear capable.

I nosed around a bit, but didn’t see any firm information. I figure Russia will brag about it soon enough.
Their older designs had as many as ten warheads per missile.

That’s for sure, 600 KT is the more than the yield of our SLBM Trident II warheads (475 KT), and forty times the explosive force of the Hiroshima bomb...
Interestingly, our Trident IIs were designed to carry up to 14 warheads, but the SORT 1 treaty reduces this to “4 or 5”, according to Wikipedia.
