The Truth About Lying's Consequences
The Aspen Times (CO) ^ | April 24, 2014 | Melanie Sturm

“You can’t handle the truth!” Jack Nicholson shouted at Tom Cruise during the climactic court-martial scene in the movie “A Few Good Men.”

Caught in a lie that exposed his “above-the-law” mentality, Nicholson’s character, Col. Jessup, justifies his lawlessness, declaring, “I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it!”

It’s a riveting scene, pitting security against the rule of law. But before agreeing with Jessup that lawfulness conflicts with freedom, Think Again.

In fact, both truthfulness and equality under the law are essential to freedom, justice and the trust that binds civil society.

Obama’s lies are usually timed so they wont be shown as lies until after each next election.

After the election when his lies are exposed, sometimes by the MSM even, the Dems declare :

We won the election. The people chose us again. Republicans just cant accept the election results. Its disrespectful to call a POTUS a liar. They do it because Obama is black’

I would like to point out that the character that stated that “truth” was the ANTagonist.

In a twisted way, it’s how holloweird and the media insulate themselves, NOT ONLY FROM THE TRUTH,

but the consequences of their lies as well.

None other than the devil could be so twistedly “subtil”.

My view is that Catherine Englebrecht (and her vote fraud prevention activities) is a far more sympathetic figure with which to make the government over-reach/corruption arguments than is Cliven Bundy, especially for women.
