U.S. worries its aid to Egypt may be misdirected

The Egyptian military recently used American-made Apache helicopter gunships to fire rockets into houses in the Sinai Peninsula, the latest in a series of lethal raids targeting a little-known Al Qaeda-inspired group that has bombed civilians.

The April 23 raid came on the same day that the State Department lifted a hold on military aid to Egypt.

The Obama administration has struggled for months to limit the political crackdown launched by former Field Marshal Abdel Fattah Sisi, who now heads the Egyptian government.

The Obama Administration is upset because their darling Muslim Brotherhood fanatics have been thoroughly ousted and targets for the radical Islamics they are, and therefore the US aide is actually going to means to help the Egyptians instead of further the aims of those radicals.

Who were all tied up in the attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi and the secret arms running coming out of Libya and going to Al Quida in Syria.

That’s the dirty secret...and the Obama admin is not happy that the military and people in Egypt figured it out and threw the vipers out.

Would this be the Sinai the US agreed to defend under Carter, then manned with a small, ineffective international force of "observers? Egypt's doing what the US agreed to do.

If I were General el Sissi, I would tell the big shot U.S. generals and Obummer that they have no standing to critique me on how to fight a war. Just help me out with the weapon support and my country will shore up its own national security.
