Far from being a "rump", it had far more deputies than the constitutionally required quorum and a supermajority of them voted to impeach.
So all those nations that are dependent on Russian fossil fuels are going to join Obama in this adventure?
They're dependent on it the way the average consumer is dependent on Walmart to buy cheap groceries. The gas is cheap, but they're not about to sacrifice Ukraine, which is a vital buffer state, just for cheap gas. And that is why they're beginning to push back against Putin's imperial ambitions.
In addition, I don't know why you characterize this as Obama's adventure: he is desperately trying to avoid any involvement possible besides the rhetorical support for Kiev he finds necessary to dampen political fallout from his malevolent cravenness.
I'm sure Obama (like much of the treasonous American left) would love to see a return of the Warsaw Pact as a check on American power-- he just hasn't found a politically palatable way to get the American people to swallow that turd.
These aren't Russians. They're Soviets cloaked in red, white and blue.
Assad sent thousands of jihadis to kill American soldiers in Iraq. And you support him. Thanks for the peak under your mask.
ManyThe murderer Putin is now demanding a meeting of the UN Security Council, trying to blame Ukraine for defending its sovereignty from Russian invasion, occupation, and aggression.pro-Russia rebels[of Putin's terrorists] have been killed, injured and arrested in the Ukrainian government offensive in the eastern city of Sloviansk, interim president Oleksandr Turchynov has said.
Thanks, all.
Causes this one to wonder are we once again bound for far away places .... Bookmark
Russian soldier without insignia are pirates / illegal combatants, and may be killed without consideration.
“Hey, all I want is the U.S. to stay out of this. ... I think its time to put the brakes on the interventionism.”
Most may want this, but the loyalist Obamacon transnationals will be doubling down for bloodshed. Occupy Terra and foreign enemies are distractions for domestic failure and excuses for domestic surveillance and restrictions.
The Ukes have to fight for their country, or they don’t have one. It’s existential. Consequences of this that or the other type matter not a whit when you either DO or DO NOT have a country.
Russia’s nose has to be bloodied, or they will bully their way to the English Channel.
So how come its now okay for the Ukrainian govenment to kill protesters?

Because Obama, Kerry, Soros and the EU say so. Also Eukraine doesn’t get any allowance money until dissent is rubbed out.
Whatever you do, don't call him a pro-Eurasian Union globalist.

I can imagine that the Ukrainians might be just a little moody about that Russian stooge sending his snipers to kill people on the Maidan. And look, more Russians!
Are we hosting pro-KGB types now? See posting history.
Funny, we avoided war for almost 70 years when we had the means to fight and now that our pResident has basically gone full bore in neutering us he may very well get us in one because he is a moron.
Interventionists, Soronistas, and McCainiacs may disagrre, though

It gives them the thrill of vicarious potency and imagined significance to be on Task Force Kerry.
Helpless protestors that shot down three helicopters hehehe. Some protesters. Definitely not the Kumbaya singing hippie kind. Seems more like Russian special forces mixed with armed militia. I hope Ukraine takes out these peaceful protesters before they obtain nuclear weapons or conquer France.
