WHY is it that everybody is so eager to use military force? Americas cerebral president betrayed a rare flash of frustration on April 28th when dealing with a question in Asia about his countrys weakness. Barack Obama said his administration was making steady, if unspectacular, progress. By blundering into wars, his critics would only harm America.
Mr Obama was channelling the mood of his people, worn out by the blood and treasure squandered in Iraq and Afghanistan. A survey last autumn by the Pew Research Centre suggests that 52% want the United States to mind its own business internationally, the highest figure in five decades of polling. But when Americas president speaks of due caution, the world hears reluctanceespecially when it comes to the most basic issue for any superpower, its willingness to fight.
For Americas most exposed allies that is now in doubt. For decades, Americas security guarantee used to underpin Japans foreign policy; now, on his Asian tour, Mr Obama has had to reassure Japan that it can count on America if China seizes the disputed Senkaku islands (which China calls the Diaoyus). After his tepid backing for intervention in Libya and Mali and his Syrian climbdown, Israel, Saudi Arabia and a string of Gulf emirates wonder whether America will police the Middle East. As Vladimir Putin, Russias president, disrupts Ukraine, eastern Europeans fret that they are next.

Who is this "everybody" that this moron speaks of? No one in their right mind wants to go to war. NO ONE.
Our Founding Fathers explicitly wrote that statement right into the Declaration of Independence. Four years of war nearly killed Lincoln, let alone an assassin's bullet.
Of all of our Presidents, the ones most willing to go to war have been Democrats (Wilson, Roosevelt, Johnson - remember Bob Dole's "Democrat wars" comment? He was right).
0bama is a disaster of a President, and nearly invisible in terms of intellectual ability.
The guy is a drama queen.
Obama will use our military to put the Muslim Brotherhood in power in Egypt, to put Al Qaeda in power in Libya, and to put anti-American terrorists in power in Syria. He won’t use force to protect America’s interests, and certainly not for American lives not even the lives of ambassadors.
0bama wants to use force against his domestic enemies. The problem with 0bama intervening anywhere in the world with military force is that it would give him the necessary pretext to impose something resembling martial law.
The problem for 0bama is that his base is against military intervention abroad, and most conservatives fear an empowered 0bama at home.
As long as 0bama is president, conservatives, as a matter of self-preservation, must oppose military intervention.

Because all real power comes through the barrel of a gun.
After Extortion 17 and then Benghazi no one can actually trust this administration. At least our troops have each other.
You nailed that!
Our troops have been serially betrayed since 1945. Such horrific loss, for no outcome other than “truces” withdrawals and defeat, sickens anyone and everyone who has served.
But, even if their political masters and their senior leadership don’t give a good D-damn, you are right, they have each other. Always will too.
Our younger troops need somewhere to meet on a regular basis.
It’s not WHAT we won’t fight for. It’s WHO.
