How about just telling the truth, then you won't have any “options” to weigh!

I hear you but have hope that Trey Gowdy will influence Boehner against caving.

Imagine .... the democRAT response to this ...
The Democrats Republicans also maintain the GOP's democrat's continued interest [in Watergate] is designed largely to embarrass the White House, as well as former Secretary of State Hillary ClintonVP Gerald Ford, who is a potential 20161976 presidential front-runner.
To: Servant of the Cross
The press shouted Watergate from the mountaintops for two years, implying sinister motives to everyone in the Nixon Administration, always tying the story together, and using slogans such as “above the law’ and “the Imperial Presidency.”
When Democrats are involved, they attack and impugn anyone who questions their pets.

Gowdy is probably even more incensed than we are, having more facts, and the RATS are correct in assuming he is going to burn down their house, and their basement.
Hope like hell Cummings is precluded from the panel.

Vacillate. Obfuscate. Prevaricate.
Dems provide maximum opportunity for use of Latin derivatives.

Hope like hell Cummings is precluded from the panel. That would be a very good thing, Elijah likely would have a stroke.

What options are there to simply telling the truth? If they have to weigh options vs. telling the truth, there’s obviously something to hide.

Here’s an ‘option’ to weigh on, Democrats:
Cooperate with document requests, tell the truth and admit that mistakes were made.
Anything else will be seen by voters as obstruction

They shouldn't hold their breath. Boehner has characterized the proposed panel as "a responsible approach." And Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), who will head the committee, suggested Wednesday morning that Republicans have no intention of altering their bill. GOOD

C'mon, Dems, man up and show up. Give us Pelosi and Cummings. They're at least good for a few laughs. I'm not counting on anything of substance from the GOPe, so I'm hoping you folks will provide some. Do what you do best - make some noise. Whine, spit, howl, hiss or cry, I don't care. When you know you're on-camera, do some serious profiling. Let's see some more of those ultra-flattering mug shots we're used to getting.
While you have to show up and sit down, you don't have to stfu. Please don't let us down. Show up for the hearings. Your country needs you.

And that would be an even better thing.

Actually Elijah will probably be nominated for an Academy Award for his acting performance.

After getting as much “fund raiser letter material” out of the Select Committee they will quietly become members. They must do this because THEY are the ones being investigated. They will show up to derail the path of the trains roaring toward them. It’s like when you take over a new company and need to know who is stealing - just see who NEVER takes a vacation - that’s your crook.
