Why Did Hillary Clinton Defend Boko Haram?
Powerline ^ | May 8, 2014 | John Hinderaker

Boko Haram, the Islamic terrorist organization in Nigeria, is in the news because it kidnapped more than 200 teenage girls and now threatens to sell them into slavery. (That’s what a real war on women looks like.) This is just the latest of many outrages committed by Boko Haram, which is guilty of many acts of mass murder. But it has now come out that for two years, Hillary Clinton blocked efforts to add Boko Haram to the State Department’s list of terrorist organizations.

This wasn’t just an episode of bureaucratic indifference. The Justice Department, the FBI, the CIA and many in Congress lobbied the State Department to list Boko Haram, but Clinton stood firm in defense of the Nigerian terrorists. Now, with the kidnapping outrage in the news, Hillary is tweeting away on behalf of the Nigerian girls. (THAT will do a lot of good!) But where was she in 2011 and 2012?

This Boko Haram thing and the time it took to go into Nigeria to save the Catholics in the north does seem racist, but that's just my opinion, not a measurable fact. The news also interviewed people who said they were waiting for the request of the Nigerian President. Huh? Did they wait for the requests of Assad, Mubarak, Khadafi, and Saddam?

I'm disgusted that the US has unleashed terrorists against stable populations while annihilating the rule of admittedly imperfect rulers who defended their people.

Is the failure to isolate Bao Haram a direct cause of the capture of those school girls? Did the Nigerian government the US supports do anything to protect them or get them released ASAP?

Who is running our foreign policy anyway?

Yeah, it was so “very, very painful” didn’t she made herself scarce going on that exteneded to ‘tour’ South America or wherever away from the media.

We haven’t heard much from or about Huma lately. Wonder what’s up.

Her husband's bizarre antics have attracted unwanted attention to her role. Plus, Sen. Grassley discovered that, while working for Hillary at the State Dept, she was also "consulting" with three clients.

Consequently, Huma became a little too prominent and was advised to recede from public attention.

This post is from a booklet by Frank Gaffney regarding the Muslim Brotherhood in the Obama Administration. [Everything in brackets is my own comment.]

Deeply problematic policies touching upon the Muslim Brotherhood which have been adopted at the State Department under Hillary Clinton.

2010:
Sec Clinton approves a visa for the Muslim Brotherhood chief theorist Tariq Ramadan.

“State Department officials begin ‘engaging’ with Muslim Brotherhood representatives shortly before the ‘Arab Spring’. [Isn’t that interesting ..?? I have to ask .. were we fomenting the Arab Spring ..??]

“2011:
State Department official trains Muslim Brotherhood operatives on how to win elections as part of a course in ‘democracy theories’ following the fall of Hosni Mubarak. [So, this tells us the Obama admin was helping Morsi, of the Muslim Brotherhood, get a foothold in Egypt.

“The State Department collaborates with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, a bloc of governments heavily influenced by the Muslim Brotherhood, in seeking to restrict American free-speech rights, in deference to Sharia prohibitions, against the critical examination of Islam.

“The State Department declares that the Obama administration would be ‘satisfied’ with the election of a Muslim Brotherhood-dominated government in Egypt.

“Sec Clinton announces establishment of formal relation with the Muslim Brotherhood.

“The State Department excludes Israel, the world’s leading target of terrorism, from its ‘Global Counterterrorism Forum’. At the forum’s kickoff, Sec Clinton decries various terrorist attacks and terrorist groups; but she does not mention Muslim Brotherhood franchise HAMAS or its attacks against Israel.

“Sec Clinton advances the Islamists’ international efforts to curb any expression that offends Islam by defining this not as a suppression of free speech, but merely an effort to curb ‘incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence.

“2012:
Sec Clinton waives congressional restrictions to transfer $1.5 billion to the Egyptian government after an Islamist-dominated parliament is installed on eve of the election of a Muslim Brotherhood president.

“The State Department and the administration host a contingent from Egypt’s newly elected parliament that includes not only Muslim Brotherhood members but a member of the Islamic Group (al-Gama’ at al Islamiyya), a jihadist organization headed by the Blind Sheikh (Omar Abdel Rahman), who is serving a life sentence for his leading role in a terrorist campaign against the United States in the early Nineties. Like Hamas, the Islamic Group is designated as a terrorist organization to which it is illegal to provide material support. [There was a rumor after Benghazi about a plan to kidnap Stevens, and trade him for Rahman. Hmmmmm ..?? Guess that plan didn’t work out; no wonder Hillary went into hiding.]

“Specifically, the State Department authorizes a visa for known terrorist Hani Nour Eldin to open negotiations on the release of the Blind Sheikh; DHS Sec Janet Napolitano informs Congress that the State Department should be expected to issue more such visas to individuals like Eldin who may have been terrorists but have now joined ‘the political process’ in their native lands.

“During a trip to Egypt in July, Sec Clinton pressures the ruling military junta to hand over power to the newly elected parliament, which is dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood, and to the newly elected president, Mohamed Morsi, who has long been a top Muslim Brotherhood official. Sec Clinton later meets with Morsi, who has also been extended the honor of an invitation to visit the White House in September [2012]. All this, despite the Muslim Brotherhood’s extensive record of hostility toward the United States, and despite the fact that Morsi, in his first public statement after being elected president, announced that one of his top priorities is to pressure the United States for the release of the Blind Sheikh.”
_______________________________________________________

[So, does anybody have any more questions on why Hillary would not designate Boko Haram a terrorist organization ..??]

And .. “The question that occurs - and that urgently requires thorough investigation - is this: have individuals and groups associated with an enterprise that has as its stated objective ‘destroying Western civilization from within’ been able to dramatically advance this agenda by conducting influence operations ‘inside the wire’ of the Obama Administration? Have they helped ‘tilt’ institutional views and policy itself toward the Muslim Brotherhood?”
