We've spent a lot of time across the pond visiting family and fully understand the U.K. and the U.S. are two countries, as they say, "separated by a common language." But when I look at my sister-in-law's experience raising her two kids, I realize there is a difference.
A big difference.
I spend a lot of time worrying about my kids being shot. She does not. Ever. When my young kids went to play at friends' homes, I'd have to ask the parents if there was a gun because statistically 40 percent of homes with children do. My sister-in-law never has to ask.

You can probably count the number of free thinking Oregonians on one hand. The majority, (of at least the ones I’ve met) embrace the Liberal agenda almost like its a Religion. In other words, they’re Kool Aid drinkers.

Well, just generalizing here but, I think it’s mostly the coasties that are so hugely lib. Head east in to the hinterlands and I believe you’ll find a whole lot of conservative folks. Sadly, the coasties have the numbers to outvote the eastern part of the state folks. Much like NV. Vegas outvotes the entire rest of the state.
