John and Dawn DiMarco signed up for an Affordable Care Act plan through the state health insurance exchange during open enrollment. They received their insurance card and were covered but their bill was thousands of dollars more than advertised.
They spent weeks going back and forth with various state agencies and the insurance company to try and get answers. Then, this month, their carrier, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, sent them a cancellation notice.
NBC Connecticut contacted Access Health CT on Tuesday and they told us it has to do with a computer issue with their vendor.
UPDATE: A spokesperson for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield told NBC Connecticut Tuesday night that as soon as they learned they had inaccurate information related to DiMarco's subsidies, they contacted them immediately and reinstated them.

Ummmmm.....they are getting a subsidy? I wouldn’t use that photo if I was them. That looks like an entrance lane and not a driveway.
Whether they live in a hut or a beautiful country estate, they deserve to get what they paid for.
They were reinstated when Obama found out they were Democrats.
I think they posted it there so traffic driving by would see it. Don’t know where they actually live. And Section 8 if on it can be “generous.”
I believe they deserve to get what they voted for.
Other People’s Money...
Not just for the Walmart Looter class anymore, apparently.
FYI - Sharon is one of the more liberal towns in Connecticut.
It is like Vermont in appearance and politics
That too, albie.
Bingo.
This failure was just enrollment - just wait till people start dying.
Only an a$$hole believes in computer “glitches.” It’s a mistake in design and the program is doing what it was told to do, or it’s an input error, or some other error by a human.
I’ve always gagged at “glitch”. The word is now vastly overused as an excuse for every PRODUCT DEFECT associated with PPACA technology.
That’s what 100’s of millions of dollars buys when no-bid contracts are given to college pals. (Toni Townes-Whitley, Senior Vice President at CGI Federal. Princeton Class of 1985, same as Michelle Obama. Both are members of Association of Black Princeton Alumni.)
Sharon, Connecticut is a Republican area. The town has a minimum lot size requirement of an acre. Most are bigger. It is a lovely town.
Maybe they will learn that votes have CONSEQUENCES.
Yes sir. I pray the lessons of their chastisement are not lost upon them.
Kind of a non story. A data error and then it was fixed.
Used to stay in Sharon when we had club events at Lime Rock Park. Nice area, didn’t realize according to the map 41 north of town is called Gay St.
A “data error” from the IRS and then YOU DIE.
Communism is death. Always. Everywhere. Every time it’s tried. Wake the f up.
