Very cool. I have a friend who is an author, and a committed liberal and a member of this organization. I just tagged him on this on Facebook. Last I talked to him he had decided that George Sr. and Barbara were good people which is a start.

Sounds like one of those “I’m a good person because I’m a liberal” kinda liberals.

Libs have to be foaming at the mouth that they couldn’t quash this.

He deserved it. It was an excellent book.

Actually he’s a good person, just misinformed. He’s had two best sellers, loves his wife and children, volunteers by reading at grade schools, and has a profession where he helps people. He supports the military and school vouchers. Its just a matter of time before he comes around. He needs to stop listening to NPR.

yep, I love this development….damned tired of hearing about the book on his show, and I tune out immediately….but happy it won this award and happy a lot of kids are being introduced to it.

But again…it makes terrible radio!!!!

Not saying. I don’t want him tracked down. I’ve said too much already.

Gosh. I don’t get it. No homos, no mention of “pro choice”, he didn’t bash the military or Reagan or George Washington and he still won?

oh dear Lord, don’t be paranoid. The point is, every profession helps people, and I’m very suspicious of anyone claiming to be in a profession that “helps people” - as if that’s rare.

True, he didn’t say so…..but you did…..

CEW truth of life 1: there’s no one quite so greedy as a liberal who “is not in it for the money.”

If you want to help him, you have to address THE base assumption that leads libs to be libs,

and sometimes they are not willing to even discuss it, because it goes to the heart of the condition of man.

Liberalism stems from the humanist belief that we’re all “basically good” and that any evil in the world is environmentally caused.

True reality, however, lies in the fact that man is fallen, limited in moral stamina, and cannot be trusted with power over his fellow man because of inevitable abuse of that power.

I haven’t listened to Limbaugh in years since he went through his “rehab”. He gets REAL Old after awhile!

Oddly enough, when I worked in a bookstore over the Christmas season, conservatives would throw a fit that his book was consigned to the children’s section. They didn’t know it was a children’s book.

Congrats, Rush.

You can pretty much be guaranteed that anyone who says he’s in any profession “to help people” is helping one person in particular - himself. And not in a corrupt way, but he’s in it to make HIMSELF feel “righteous” for caring.
