This is hilarious. It neglects the simple fact that they cannot *make* successful people live next to losers. The successful people just bug out. Or if they are really determined to keep their homes, they hire an s-load of security so as soon as one of the losers puts a foot on the successful turf, it gets crushed.

Successful people are successful *precisely* because they don’t accept such socialistic b.s. to be foisted on them.

You can take the poor-entitled-disenfranchised-uneducated-lazy-irresponsible-dishonest-dumbass-slimeball out of the ghetto, but you can’t take the ghetto out of the poor-entitled-disenfranchised-uneducated-lazy-irresponsible-dishonest-dumbass-slimeball.

DON’T LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD - LEVEL THE SCOREBOARD INSTEAD! Make hard work meaningless by giving to those who don’t work the rewards of those who do and force those who work to pay for it. Couldn’t happen to a better place than NYC - liberal chickens coming home to roost.

I remember in Yonkers Judge Leonard Sand said that black students had to sit next to white students to learn.

All it will take is an extended 20% bear-market to knock this city completely off its moorings.

It would have to be a worldwide bear market. There are five major cities...London,Hong Kong,Singapore,Dubai and New York....that attract breathtaking sums of money from all over the world.Every Saudi prince, every Hong Kong factory owner, wants a place (or five) in London or Manhattan.I was just in Dubai, for example,a few months ago.You wouldn't believe the money...from near and far...that you'll find in that city. And Manhattan's no different.

City plans to attack economic segregation by moving poor into middle-class neighborhoods...

In other news, the city's middle-class population has begun fleeing the area, driving property values into the ground.

“affordable housing”

A euphemism for taxpayer subsidized.

If moving poor into the middle class neighborhood is a good thing wouldn’t moving the poor instead into the rich liberal areas of town be a GREAT thing???

The smart move is away from the bus lines. Liberals believe that the poor always travel by bus because they can’t afford cars.

Same thing happened in my neighborhood through govt subsidized home loans. Had a nice neighborhood started but it has gone downhill.

From getting our home burglarized, the pimp mobiles, gangs, and hostility its become a crappy place to live.

“I am firmly convinced if you gave each hoodrat a million dollars, a home, a job and a car, they'd be broke a year later.”

You don't have to be convinced, we already have proof. Just look at athletes and lottery winners.

Speaking of buses, I’ve heard in some places, that when bus lines have been extended to suburban shopping malls, that a bad element started infecting those malls. And then those malls saw a drop in business, as legitimate shoppers start avoiding such places.

They tried this in the 1970’s, what will happen is that the people that can afford it will just move even further out and the former prosperous middle class suburb will be a ghetto in a decade...

So what is the difference between this and the old “Block busting” of the late 1950s in which a realtor would sell a house in a white area to a Black family?

The whites then would vote with their feet, sell or abandon their houses and move away, the area then would become a black slum.

Now it appears the government is doing the realtor’s job of blockbusting.
