Obama Close to Authorizing Military Training of Syrian Rebels

WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama is close to authorizing a mission led by the U.S. military to train moderate Syrian rebels to fight the regime of Bashar al-Assad and al Qaeda-linked groups, a move that would expand Washington's role in the conflict, U.S. officials said.

A new military training program, if implemented, would supplement a small train-and-equip program led by the Central Intelligence Agency which Mr. Obama authorized...

This is the reason innocent Americans were killed in Benghazi, he was giving them arsenals of weapons to blow up towns, and has already pledged over $160 Million, just that we know of.

What is this obsession? Their neighbor Iran is threatening nuclear destruction, and death to America, and Obama is obsessed with Syria?

I'll answer a question with a question. If Obama were a Muslim supporting transnational Islamists who relish killing Christians and trying to recreate the Greater Caliphate, would he do anything different that he already has throughout the Middle East and North Africa?
