After Georgias Mountain Narcotics Criminal Investigation & Suppression Team burned a toddler with a flashbang grenade during a drug raid on Wednesday, Habersham County Sheriff Joey Terrell told Access North Georgia:
The person I blame in this whole thing is the person selling the drugs,
Of course, Terrells task force didnt even know there was a child in the home. So its hard to argue they cared much either, at least not enough to let the kids safety trump the safety of the officers...
But this same task force has a history:
In September 2009, the young pastor Ayers was ministering to a young woman whom a Georgia drug task force was investigating on drug charges.
The task force followed Ayers to a convenience store, where he went in to get money from an ATM. They pulled up behind him in an unmarked black SUV. Armed agents dressed in street clothes rushed Ayerss car...In the process, he nicked one agent. Another then opened fire, killing him. Ayers told hospital staff was that he thought he was being robbed.
Ayers had no drugs in his car or in his system, and there was no evidence he was using or distributing anything illegal.
District Attorney Brian Rickman already cleared the task force of any wrongdoing....Rickman also cleared the cops in the Ayers case.
--SNIP--
As it turns out, Officer Billy Shane Harrison, the cop who shot Ayers, hadnt taken the series of firearms training classes required for his certification as a police officer. It turns out that Harrison also had received zero training in the use of lethal force.

Yep. Seriously, LEOs should regularly be tested for ‘roids, HGH, etc., as well as for recreational drugs of all kinds. Lifetime bans for violations.
To be fair, this case involved meth, not pot.
Meth is the drug created by the government so there would really be a drug as bad as they claimed all drugs were.
That pot should be legalized does not mean meth should be.
That thin blue line is all that stands between decent people and the sort of armed savages that roast babies and kill christian leaders.
Oh. Wait....
Nevermind.
Amen, friend. Amen.
No immunity, no pensions, no bennies. Higher pay, higher standards.
The new sheriff was supposed to be a good guy. That double negative speaking, non-subject-verb agreeing a$$hole needs to get a taste of his own medicine.
Yeah, if they just legalized all drugs, what would they use as an excuse to murder the constitution?
This story makes me so white hot angry.
Citizens need to start putting measures on the ballot banning the use of flash bangs and limiting the scope of no knock warrants. Possibly limit warrant service to daylight hours.
Well Haberdham County is going to be paying out the wazoo on this one. I don’t think they have a leg to stand on. Right now they are trying to brazen it out. In a couple of mos when reality sets in and the lawsuit is filed they will be tryng to settle. I just hope that poor kid lives.
After all that choos, no drugs, nobody arrested and the guy they were looking for was not home or at least that’s what I heard.
//Can you prove that toddler wasnt guilty of a violent crime? Can you prove the toddler wasnt packing a Glock in its diaper?//
I’d say a person can never be quite sure what a kid might be packing in his diaper, except that this one is in critical condition right now.
Good answer, btw; dry as ever.
This was bound to come out: // As it turns out, Officer Billy Shane Harrison, the cop who shot Ayers, hadnt taken the series of firearms training classes required for his certification as a police officer. It turns out that Harrison also had received zero training in the use of lethal force. //
Thanks for demonstrating your utter ignorance about the effects of meth.
I do agree that drug laws should be by state, but at the state levels there is absolutely nothing unconstitutional about enforcing bans on addictive poisons.
I wonder how the government goons justify keeping people safe from drugs by killing them.
I do agree that drug laws should be by state, but at the state levels there is absolutely nothing unconstitutional about enforcing bans on addictive poisons.
Thanks for demonstrating your full throated support for the jack booted police state. Always good to identify you folks. Your numbers are shrinking, because more people are seeing through your lies.
Anyone ever wonder why we never see SWAT raids on steroid abusers? I think we all know the answer to this...
Benton County deputy resigns after steroids found in home
“...domestic violence and inappropriate conduct while on duty...”
.
Yet someone who is dying cannot be prescribed a pot cookie in most states for any reason. They might even have a SWAT team bust in for too many cookies.
And the pigs have the audacity to say pot laws are for our safety
And if you agree with the Drug War, how can you then oppose the War on Guns? People predominantly hurt themselves, not others through drug use, while guns are designed to hurt others. Where's the logic?
For the strong of stomach here’s an after of the toddler:
He doesn’t look as bad as I feared, but its pretty bad.
