A Chinese general used a regional security conference this weekend to tell a global audience that U.S. rhetoric about the South China Sea risks provoking Beijing.
For the Chinese language audience, the general used language saltier

Veterans do not trust in yourselves. Put your hope again in God, as everybody ought to.
Excellent point.
After this weekend's prisoner exchange of high value target Taliban leaders, can there be any doubt that the Obama Policy is to endanger America and to set us up for the next 9/11?
No. There cannot.
Well, that’s one good way to say it.
And we still don’t know where MH370 is.
It was from the Chinese. Did he mean erectile or electile?

What do election problems have to do with our foreign policy???
If the general is saying that Obama, Biden, Kerry, Clinton, Rice and Hagel are “limp leftist pricks”, I agree.
Hagel, the ruptured one, is known in Chinese as “One Hung Low”.
Kerry is known as “Long Lying Sclong”
Rice is known as “Yellow lice”
Slick Willie? Another story. See my tagline.
You mean Obamas worship of all things queer isn’t scaring the Chinese?
He let Mooch on the loose over there. They are still pissed they way she treated them.
The Bullhorn Show - How To Save The American Republic Without Having To Fire A Shot (Hopefully)
"Lastly, for those who have noticed that Ive not yet included prayer in this lengthy diatribe, let me say that it goes without saying. Yes, ask God Almighty for His blessing, for you, your families, and our nation. Ask that He save us from ourselves. But remember, He helps those who help themselves. Im reminded of a joke I heard the other day, that goes something like this:
"A man was in his house in a flood. The police came by in a 4×4 to get him, but he said, 'no, God will save me'. An hour later, he was forced to go up to the second floor, because the water was coming into the house. The fire department came by with a boat, telling him to climb aboard, and theyd take him to safety. 'Nope,' he said, 'God will help me.' An hour later, the water had gotten so high, he had to climb up on his roof. The Coast Guard sent a helicopter to lift him out, but he declined 'God will save me', he said. An hour later, the water swept him away and he drowned. When he got to Heaven, he asked St. Peter, 'Why didnt God save me?' St. Peter said, 'He tried He sent the police, the fire department and the Coast Guard, but you wouldnt take His help!'
"God has heard our prayers, and He has already helped us. He gave us our freedom, He gave us our rights, and He gave us His Son, who died for our sins. What else do you want from Him? Its time to quit relying on others to do our jobs for us, and remember that were Americans. Its our civic duty to rule ourselves with the sword if need be, but hopefully, with the other tools at our disposal first. Get busy right now!"
Yes, God hears our prayers, just as He heard the prayers of the Founders, and of the settlers of North America. He gave them Washington, Franklin, Madison, Jefferson, Hamilton, Jay and the thousands of brave Americans who fought in the War of Independence. Rather than asking for more help, when He has already given us so much, maybe it's time we prove to Him that we're worthy of His continued Blessing, eh?

I'll let it slide this time. ;-)
There is a point to be made here, that learned hopelessness is inappropriate.
However I am still not sure you have not gotten the point of every individual person every day investing his or her soul deliberately in the Lord... yes cheekily, as though He were a friend! (Which He went to the cross in order to BE.)
“Rule ourselves”... if it’s just in the name of country, of tradition, even of “religion”... BIG FAIL. Fundamental return to God, in each particular case, is needed. God cares at the moment less whether you “obey all the RULES” than whether you “invest your soul in HIS person.”

To use an analogy I just came up with, your house is on fire. There's also a gas leak in your neighborhood. Put out the fire while ignoring the gas leak, you risk an explosion that could level the neighborhood. Fix the gas leak and ignore the fire, you'll lose your home and the fire will spread to the next house, then the next, etc.
Or, in political terms, which is more important, nominating a fiscal conservative candidate or a social conservative candidate for president? The answer is YES. We need a candidate that is both.
You say each one of us needs to renew his or her relationship with God, and rededicate ourselves to doing His will, and I agree. But we have to take back our Republic, or lose our freedom altogether. So which do we do first? We have to do both, at the same time. Not either-or, but both. God may care less about whether we obey the rules (which is not my point, BTW...many of the "rules" NEED to be disobeyed), but I have to believe that He's not happy with us for having squandered the many Blessings He's given this nation over the years.
This is not a For or Chevy decision. It's not Coke or Pepsi, Bud or Miller, Gibson or Fender, M1911 or Glock. We have to do both, or we'll fail at both.
