Tea Party Express - Restore Libery, Honor The Constitution

Mississippi Showdown for U.S. Senate

Tea Party Conseratives,

We need your support now more than ever, as conservative Chris McDaniel faces 47-year incumbent Thad Cochran in a runoff on June 24th.

Last Tuesday thanks to full Tea Party support, McDaniel edged Cochran but by less than 1500 votes, and since neither recieved 50% of the total vote there will be a head-to-head runoff to decide the race.

The only way for Chris McDaniel to pull all the way through is for every conservative to show up and vote on June 24th, and your resources will help us to achieve that.

We are making emergency preparations and plans to head back to Mississippi to campaign for Tea Party candidate Chris McDaniel, but it does have significant cost. Please make a contribution today so that we make sure that Chris McDaniel wins again in three weeks.

You can bet that the D.C. political establishment will be pouring all of their resources into the run off to try to defeat conservative Chris McDaniel.  This isn't just a Mississippi battle- it's an American battle of grass roots conservatism vs. D.C. Republican establishment.  The eyes of the entire nation are on this race and we must not lose.

Tea Party’s McDaniel, Ernst, & Daines Triumphant in Senate Primaries

Sacramento, CA – Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest Tea Party political action committee, congratulates State Senator Chris McDaniel for successfully forcing 47-year incumbent Senator Thad Cochran into a runoff election. The organization is also celebrating the victories of Joni Ernst and Congressman Steve Daines.

Tea Party Express’ Executive Director Taylor Budowich said, “Senator Chris McDaniel delivered a bold conservative vision to the voters of Mississippi and the result was an unstoppable grassroots insurgency that forced a runoff and will prevail on June 24th. We’ve seen this time and time again- voters want leadership and they want solutions, and that’s why Senator McDaniel edged Cochran in tonight’s primary. The work is not over for Tea Party activists in Mississippi and across the country, but we will win when all is said and done.

“Chris McDaniel is not the only candidate that had a successful night due to a strong, unapologetically conservative message. Tea Party-backed Joni Ernst (IA) and Steve Daines (MT) were also victorious in their primary. Both the Des Moines Register poll and the Tea Party Express poll showed that Ernst was head-and-shoulders above the pack with self-identified Tea Party activists, propelling her to a big victory tonight. Steve Daines, who was elected during the 2010 Tea Party wave, has been a champion of liberty in Congress and is bringing that same leadership to his campaign for the Senate,” Budowich concluded.

Tea Party Express held 2 press conferences with Chris McDaniel and the organization’s “Fighting for Liberty” national bus tour held two rallies in Mississippi with McDaniel prior to the primary.

People should be disgusted. The climate is real good this year for a Republican to keep Cocharan's Senate seat if he retires. If Cocharan were to win the primary I could see how he could easily lose the Senate seat. In six years or if he dies in office, who knows?

It is totally unpatriotic for Cocharan to stay in this race. How do he and his RINO elitist cheerleaders even stand themselves?

If I were McConnell, etc. and the Republican establishment...I would stop backing Cochran right now!!! McDaniel is going to win this runoff...hands down!!! The Pubbie Establishment should have Thad Cochran withdraw from the race right now!!! Mr. Cochran has had his day in the sunshine...time for him to retire!!! End of story!!!

McConnell and crew are said to be recruiting Democrats to take down McDaniel, at which point the would probably allow the left to take the seat in return. I don’t know Mississippi’s primary rules as regards whether a person can switch their party affiliation immediately prior to a primary. Can anybody help me out here?

I think that a person voted in the primary then they cannot change party affiliation for the run off.

Are you wearing a hat and does it have tinfoil on it?

Not at all. I received this from the Senate Conservatives Fund yesterday (Jim DeMint's group):

U.S. Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS) and his allies are planning to aggressively court Democrats to defeat conservative Chris McDaniel (R-MS) in the June 24th primary run-off election for U.S. Senate.

According to POLITICO:

Cochran's strategy "will involve reaching out to casual voters – including independents and Democrats – to swell the electorate with Mississippians who may not have participated in this week’s first round of voting."

Now, do I know this for a fact? No. Do I know how badly Bitch McConnell wants to preclude another Ted Cruz in the Senate? I think so. What about you?

I also have information from Breitbart that McConnell is among those coming to Cochran's aid.

So I asked the question. Kindly tell me what about that constitutes some kind of paranoid fantasy. If you cannot, please pull your slanderous post.

That would be good news. Unfortunately, that is not the case in every State, which is why I asked about Mississippi law.

I got that from a post here on FR quoting the MS AG. I will try to find that post or another source when I get to a laptop or desktop.

A person who voted in the Dim primary can not legally vote in the Republican run off. Emphasis on legally.
