Is it a secret election, unlike the vote for Speaker?

This would be more of an earthquake than Cantor’s loss. We need a true conservative voice in a leadership role. This would give me hope than Speaker Suntan will not be reelected as Speaker next year. It would also rally true conservatives throughout the country to vote this fall.

I’m not too sure he is really all that conservative, better than McCarthy no doubt, but so is most everyone in congress.

I don't know anything about him. But I do recall seeing him on FOX News and he was on the side of the squishes. I forget the exact issue, it was last year, but I remember the unique name, and pegged him as a RINO. I could be wrong. And I do think he's better than McCarthy, but so isn't 2/3s of Congress.

Thanks...I thought so but wasn’t sure. That actually makes much easier for conservative to win this thing..they have the votes in the Conference..

Labrador is just another crony capitalist Republican who wants to supply business with more cheap foreign labor. From his website:

“reform must include modernizing our guest worker programs. Guest workers are vital to keep industries in America, and particularly in Idaho, competitive internationally. By providing a legal avenue for foreign workers to enter the United States, a guest worker program is critical to secure the border and eliminate illegal immigration.”

FWIW a guest worker program for agriculture, provided the standards are so high that there's no benefit to not hiring US citizens, solves the exuse the globalists use for allowing the invasion of the US.

Years ago MA had one for the cranberry bogs. (I lived near them) The bog owner had to offer the jobs to locals first. The guest workers had to have sanitary conditions, and be housed, fed, medical needs met and provided reasonable work schedules. Families would come in from Cambodia for the summer and go back to their homelands when harvesting was over.

The invasion actually ruined those kinds of opportunities for law-abiding hard working citizens from poor countries.

If he did happen to win, the MSM/Dems would annoint him ‘white Hispanic’ so they can vilify him without feeling guilty.

House conservatives better get some of their own in the leadership positions.

In January 2013, they had the votes to deseat Boehner, but at the last minute, Bachmann’s and a couple of others’ spines turned to jelly. Boehner was so appreciative that he dumped Bachmann from her committee chairmanship.

You objection to any Guest Worker program does not equate with me.

Who is going to do these essential jobs? Holders people who are stuck in some Reparations warp or our sorryass overweight white kids that have grown up pampered and rarely show up on the job on time or have any real skills beyond playing computer games and texting?

I am sure we agree that illegal immigrants should not receive any gubmit benefits, other than a free bus ride deep into Mexico.

The biggest thing we should change in immigration is the letting any labor type temporary guest worker drag his family with him which then puts them in our golden welfare system. More permanent skilled type guest workers should be under contract to a specific employer and that employer should be responsible for the worker’s health insurance. No non-citizen, no matter the status as guest worker, should pay into FICA or be eligible for any Social Security benefits.

Trouble is they require Common Sense, which is the most missing attribute in government.
