That would be a valid way to look at humanity if humanity were but robots with no other input.

But then it would have to apply to you and your own short comings too.

I speak not “in favor of Mr. Scott” but “in favor of God’s work in humanity.” The devil is constantly blaspheming the latter.

I see political shows being put on every day in this country with tough but meaningless words and symbolic laws being passed left and right to re-elect Republican politicians.

And the succor will need to come from God; and perhaps it is slowly filtering in even now.

Cheering any sign of it is a good way to encourage it to happen more. Because now you are giving glory to God.

I guess some of the folks on this thread are Dream Act supporters and want in-state tuition for illegal immigrants.

The big money that supports GOPe politicians like Rick Scott does, along with amnesty for illegals, plus Common Core for schools as well.

As for Pro-Life, here in Pennsylvania, the word is that Planned Parenthood gets advance notice of when their abortion clinics will be inspected after a supposedly tough new “pro-life law” (Act 122) was passed last year.

“Pro-Life” Governor Tom Corbett or his administration have not commented on the report, but the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation that supports GOPe politicians says there is an investigation.

Probably like the one Obama is doing at the VA......

By appointing that crazy special prosecutor named Angela Corey to the case in the first place, pandering to the mob demanding “justice for Trayvon”.

If he is threatening the children who are still in the room with him?

If you are talking about Marissa Alexander, the woman convicted of firing a "warning shot", the facts of the case are:

1) She was in HIS house. She had come to collect some of her things after breaking up with him.

2) The kids she endangered were HIS kids, not hers, from a previous relationship.

3) She went down to her car in the garage, retrieved the gun, came back, and fired in his general direction.

4) She claimed he was threatening and she couldn't leave because the garage door wouldn't open, yet investigators found the garage door worked fine.

The usual sad blasphemies and illogical conclusions.

The problem is with you folks who want to be able to idolize somebody.

There has been a communal fall and like it or not, you’re part of that fall. And like it or not, the way out is by glorifying God again.

I’m not more inclined to support Scott because of Crist being called a name.

Resentment isn’t a good motivator to live one’s life in general, much less vote in an election.

Crist is bad and so is Scott.

I would vote for a third option in Florida like I will here in Pennsylvania after my Republican governor voted to raise gas taxes 28 cents a gallon.

but does it really mean anything other than pandering to Second Amendment voters.

As a full time carrier, and 2nd Amendment voter, I enjoy being pandered to, pimped to, slathered to and catered to...what's the problem?

The glorification of God does not translate into devotion to a political party or candidate.

I am listing good policy reasons for not voting for Republicans like Corbett in PA or Scott in FL, I don’t need to call them names or call the Dems names like someone did to Crist in another post.

We are fallen people and bear responsibility for bad decisions we have made, including in my case support of a political machine (GOP-Republican) that was not being honest with the people it appeals to and still isn’t.

And nobody is ASKING for devotion; however you show every sign of coming from a paradigm that one has to BE devoted.

Catty talk is cheap. There are sewers of it every day. If you can bring a better politician on the scene please do so and tout the virtues of that politician as superior to the qualities of the existing one. But until you do, heed your mother and if you can’t say anything good about someone say nothing.

Read the article, HB89 isn't about warning shows. It prevents prosecutors from going after people who pull a firearm (display it) in a self defense situation. Apparently, prior to this, just displaying a weapon to get someone to back off could have been considered aggregated assault.

My take on it, no warning shots. You are responsible for every bullet. Don't draw unless it is life or death. If it is life or death, why are you taking chances? Why aren't you ending that situation as quickly and assuredly as possible? (ie shooting to kill aka immediately incapacitate) if you are giving verbal warnings and holding off on those shots, you are doing the perp a kindness he/she probably doesn't deserve.

Yes, indeed, knowing God is sovereign gets me through..........but our Patriot fathers knew when the time was right to gain back their freedom.

They concluded that they could successfully implement a superior self rule and then did so.

They didn’t just sit and meow at King George, feeling superior about it.

And in fact if it only “gets you through” — you are looking to God for too little! Because where are you getting your goals? If they are from earth, then your sights need to be raised.

Just read this.......and in all respect, I agree with you wholeheartedly.....

...and I’m so close to saying.....’bring on the bread and circuses’. Distract me from watching my country implode.

But we can’t give up or give in........as long as we have a heart beating for freedom, we can’t give up without a fight.

Sorry I aligned you with my cynicism......it’s a contant struggle for me.

When you do, remember the biblical command to pray for kings and all who are in authority.

The result might be that the person prayed for might see an improvement in the godliness of his or her exercise of authority.

Or it might be that some other person will appear on the scene that God will give the first person’s office to, and execute it in a more godly manner.

In both cases we are approaching the problem from the positive, the grace, the power side. Complaining about what isn’t there is an infinite game that is played in hell continually.
