A spokesperson for police in the district of Hochsauerlandkreis in the German Federal State of Nordrhein Westfalen, reported the accident.
The German armed forces and a spokesperson for the German Air Force confirmed for the magazine Spiegel Online.de and the daily Bild, that the military plane was a German Air Force Eurofighter.

It has been reported that a privately owned Learjet has collided with a Luftwaffe Eurofighter over Sauerland in Germany. The Learjet crashed as a result but the Eurofighter managed to land at its base near Cologne.
According to the article, two Eurofighters and the Learjet were taking part in a joint exercise between the Luftwaffe and the Gesellschaft für Flugzieldarstellung (GFD), a subsiduary of Airbus Defence and Space. The Learjet was a civilian aircraft.
The Lear Jet that collided with a Eurofighter and subsequently crashed near the place Elpe in eastern Northrhine-Westphalia belonged to the ‘Gesellschaft für Flugzieldarstellung GmbH’ - GFD (Cooperation for air target simulation Ltd.) that opearates 13 Lear Jets for such tasks and is a subsidary of Airbus Defence and Space.

If a hedge fund is wrapped up in some currency swap that involves Something Soros is heavily into - it has the potential to at least have a short term influence. A hedge fund can get itself blown up especially if dealing with something as volatile as Gold. Rumors are that one just recently blew itself up over Gold
