BILOXI, Mississippi — Former Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX), a 2012 presidential candidate and one of state Sen. Chris McDaniel’s big name endorsers over Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS), told Breitbart News in a phone interview that he thinks the Washington, D.C., political establishment is “panicking” now that McDaniel may win his runoff on Tuesday.

To back Paul’s statement up, there was a report today that the National Republican Senatorial Committee has spent $175,000 on automated phone calls and media production to help drag Cochran’s sorry rear end over the finish line.

MS is a red state, and the GOP nominee will be elected in November. The battle is tomorrow.
His odds for winning in November are some of the best anywhere because Mississippi is so republican.

It probably depends on whether the GOPe accepts their defeat or goes into a full scorched earth strategy and pushes for the Dem to win just to keep a Tea Partier from being in the Senate. How many times have conservatives been told to vote for the RINO for the good of the party. We'll see how serious they were about this or if it is a one-way street.

Yup... or that he didn’t know that Cantor was defeated, or his escapades with farm animals, or...
If Ron Paul’s support can deliver any votes whatsoever to put McDaniel over the top, that’s fine with me. I don’t care for some of what Ron and Rand Paul stand for, but we can be allies in other regards. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing so long as we’re moving the nation to the right.
