If the GOP doesn’t ask Cochran to step aside in the General election then they don’t deserve to have the Senate Majority.

What the GOPand Cochran did to McDaniel was despicable beyond words. Playing the race card against the Tea Party is the bottom of the barrel.

Do you think the Republicans just lost retaking the Senate due to the Thad Cochran campaign's smear tactics?

The GOP wouldn't have the Senate anyway; not with McConnell, Graham, Cornyn, McCain, Rubio, Paul, and all the other commie turncoats in the Senate GOP.

As a conservative the prospect of a GOPe Senate versus a Rats Senate is not a great motivator. In terms of policy I do not see a great deal of separation between Senate Rats and Senate GOPe. Yes there are a few brave conservatives in the Senate but only a few. Ergo control of the Senate means little to conservatives since it will either be Rats or GOPe in control. “Meet the new boss same as the old boss”. This election (TX) I intend to vote 3rd party for senator. I encourage every one to vote 3rd party if the R candidate is not conservative.

I never thought the GOP was going to “win” the Senate anyway (+4), but this ongoing strife will help seal the likelihood that minority status will continue.

The Senate is not worth having if that depraved cockroach is the determinant.

Yes. The establishment has angered so many in the base that it will be a miracle if they come out for any RINO candidate.

No, but I do think the Tea Party war on the establishment will ramp up!

Third party. We’re at the point where the GOP and Democrats are splitting the votes of the Left between them. The GOP will lose that contest because everyone knows Democrats are the “real deal” and the GOP are Dem Lite/Dem Wannabes. It’s funny how, politically, Democrats lead the way to the nuttiest ideas and programs you never thought possible and the Republicans glumly and grudgingly follow along.

Anyway, to turn it around, it all starts with local elections and liberty-loving candidates with no associations to the establishment parties. It will take a long time to complete the long march back through the institutions. The GOP has sold out and if our country makes it back to its former goodness and greatness, it will take the coordinated work of many and probably won’t be completed in my lifetime.

But...one step at a time. Make good and secure the places around you and, leading by example, you may exert influence to win back your neighborhood, city, county, state...
