(CNN) Sen. Susan Collins, a Republican from Maine, indicated her support Wednesday for same-sex-marriage, becoming the fourth sitting Republican senator to do so.
A number of states, including my home state of Maine, have now legalized same-sex marriage, and I agree with that decision, Collins said according to the Bangor Daily News in response to one of its reporter's questions.
She joins Republican Sens. Mark Kirk of Illinois, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Rob Portman of Ohio in expressing support for the marriage equality movement.

Sometimes it seems so hopeless, doesn’t it?
Let’s see—side with vapid morons like her and related ilk or side with the Almighty intelligent Creator of the Universe? Tough one!
Decisions—decisions.... (’
I cannot bear her but she does have a deafness issue thus the turn off voice.
Found out she has this condition,....... Spasmodic dysphonia (or laryngeal dystonia) is a voice disorder characterized by involuntary movements or spasms of one or more muscles of the larynx (vocal folds or voice box) during speech.
I guess she doesn’t realize to Whom she is accountable.
. . . and then the judgment. What a cheap way to go. . .what a price to pay.
Of course she does.
Chris37 expresses no support at all for the stinking gop.
Indeed it does. And it may be.
Collins CLAIMS to be Catholic and is actually married to a man according to Wikipedia but she is about as Catholic as Margaret Sanger was and just as enthusiastic for baby-killing. As a Catholic, I wonder how this creature avoids public excommunication. What is her bishop thinking?
C. S. Lewis proposed something like this decades ago except that it was regarding husband-wife couples, not the weirdo unions we have today.
Same thing Piglosi and Biden’s priest is thinking
That would simplify things. Even easier, tie the federal benefits that are the real focus of all of it to ‘civil unions’, and let the churches handle ‘marriage’. It’s not the word that’s the issue, it’s all the federal benefits tied to it. Untie the benefits from that word, and the churches can have it back.
Just one more reason that as a party I am through with the GOP. The opposition to Homosexual marriages should be a non negotiable issue within the party.
Cool. Maybe she can get a constitutional amendment going. Gag.
This support of same sex marriage is like Don Quixote of La Mancha chasing windmills. First of all, same sex marriage is an illusion. It is not a marriage but like dressing up a dummy and saying it is a person. It is like chasing windmills and calling them a dangerous giants. As in Don Quixote of La Mancha, same sex marriage is an effort to gain equality by fighting an imaginary enemy—tilting at windmills that will spin people around and land them on their keister. Those who engage in this enterprise are fools for those who know it is all a fraud to bilk dupes of their money.

This cartoon is highly inaccurate about “Romney Voters”. they should be depicted as sitting on top of the stool kicking back while others do the work of supporting the legs.
That's the only way to repair the mess that has resulted from intertwining the two realms.
It may be time to completely divorce state sanctioned civil contract unions from the act of a holy joining of a man and woman in a contract between themselves and sworn before God.That's exactly the situation we have now.
Call the civil union marriage and let the government define it and perform it. Call the religious union holy matrimony and let it be performed before God in the church according to Gods laws.
