This week I'm in Louisville, Ky. reporting from the 44th annual National Right to Life convention, where over 1,000 enthusiastic pro-lifers young and old have gathered to hear lifesaving truths and to gain materials they need to spread a pro-life message. The first session of this year's conference began by exposing the left's engineered "war on women."

As she introduced the panelists for "The REAL War on Women," NRLC President Carol Tobias offered a simple summary for what pro-abortion advocates believe: "If you think unborn children should be protected, you're against women." That's where the well-informed panelists came in.

Kathryn Lopez, the editor-at-large for National Review Online and a columnist for Townhall, solemnly remarked that 12 women went into an abortion clinic next to the conference hotel today, noting they "just needed someone to tell them they're there."

"So many women feel they have to have an abortion, that they have no choice. The narrative is we're taking away women's rights. I try not to entertain that narrative anymore."

Dr. Jean Garton, the founder of Lutherans for Life, told the crowd the truth about the link between abortion and health care.

"I believe it's a war on information, facts and truth. There's a different word for it: self factualization. The definition is when a person selectively chooses info to build their reality while refusing to acknowledge the existence of info that would ruin their carefully construed reality to be false.

"There are low information voters, people who don't have access to truth or who can't distinguish fact from fantasy. But, there's also those who manipulate language, redefine words."

The word "war," she insisted, is one that pro-choice advocates have seized.

"Merriam-Webster says war is 'a state of opened and declared armed hostility, a conflict between state and nations.' But war is not the word to define this issue.

The correct word is a massacre of the unborn -- an act or instant of killing helpless or unresisting human beings under circumstances of atrocity and cruelty."

Garton continued to use the English language to prove her point, this time referencing the Thesaurus.

"Abortion was listed back in 1960 as failure in an early Thesaurus."

But pro-abortion advocates, Garton remarked, are inventing their own language to push their agendas.

"Such semantic gymnastics we see being used by abortion supporters. They come from highly educated, the elite in Washington. George Orwell once said, 'some things only intellectuals are crazy enough to believe.'"

Joy Pinto, an EWTN radio host who is also a director of pregnancy medical center, joined her fellow panelists in exposing feminists' verbal engineering, which many women have unfortunately accepted as truth. She suggested an alternative:

"This government tells them it's okay to use contraception, that abortion can be used as backup. They have bit the apple, they believe the lie. We see how they're suffering and we love them back. I think the pro-life movement needs to come out waging peace on women.

Abortion doesn't have to be an option in the hearts and minds of our society. We want the bill of lies no more."

The left's manipulation, Lopez explained, also comes in the form of media bias. During the infamous Wendy Davis filibuster and subsequent pro-abortion protests in Texas last summer, for instance, Lopez pointed to the media's "total obscuring of the facts."

"Bills that would make clinics safer were ignored - it was all about restricting women's access to health care. Lopez did suggest, however, that pro-lifers could view the left's semantics in a positive way.

"I find it as source of encouragement that they have to manipulate words. They can't use the word 'abortion.'"

There may not be a war on women, but pro-abortion advocates are certainly waging a war on words.

I’m saying the Declaration of Independence is an insufficient witness to be an anchor for full-on personhood. It is basically avowing, in the face of the “candid world” and King George, that oh yes America believes in LL&PoH. The only thing is, that turned out to be a lie.

God-and-bible belief is the only thing that is going to be able to reverse it. I don’t want to waste breath on the Declaration. It is not holy writ.

That Declaration of Independence is the basis upon which this country was founded, and then came the other part spoken here, the “gears” and the “nuts and bolts” ... “That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed ...”

We’re still doing this part and will continue to do so.

No; if you ask George Washington, it is upon “our blessed Religion” (by religion he did not mean ritual, but faith upon the Lord Jesus Christ).

I will NOT dilute holy writ by putting it in the same basket as a lie, however hallowed the lie.

When we deal with our government in this way, as in the following ... “That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed ...” — we are NOT dealing with “holy writ”.

So, in dealing with this issue “in government” and using the basis of the “Declaration of Independence” establishing those rights that cannot be taken away because they are from the Creator ... We will “do this very thing” of securing those rights which are not for government to remove.

Sex-selective abortion is common in some cultures (and not just in China). Far more than half of the unborn children aborted are girls. At least 100 million worldwide so far, and counting.

“War on the unborn” or “war on babies” may be effective retorts to the abortion enthusiasts who have thusfar been ineffectively challenged (in the court of public opinion anyway ... judicial courts are another matter entirely, beyond the reach of public opinion).

Sorry, I will not go for a (God+State)-olatry formulation. Much less State-olatry.

The actual Light that enlightens all men is needed here... NOTHING less suffices.

Argh. At least some of the Founders had a living sense of a very immanent (sp intended) God, which in fact corresponds to truth. It is the depraved, the reprobate, who have “lost all sensitivity.” The presence of God and being caught up in His desires and will doesn’t have to wait till a kicked-bucket bye and bye. This was the SOURCE of the idea (even if stated hypocritically) of the Declaration. Now why go through a glass darkly if you can go to the light in the scriptures? The reverence of the founding just isn’t there any more. But God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Evangelists, not politicians, will be the carriers of any solution to the ills of America. And the people will be the receivers of it.

In my Evangelical Bible-believing world, the “by and by” doesn’t come until you kick the bucket - or - when the next step occurs (the next age after the Church Age), which is the Messiah of Israel returning to earth and setting up his one-world government from his ruling base and city - in Jerusalem, where he rules over all the nations of the world we see here today, with a rod of iron!

Psalm 2

1 Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing?

2 The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,

You don’t need to die to have a very close touch to the eternal, as much of a touch as this mortal coil admits. It is the Cross sacrifice which makes that touch possible.

You are basically argufying and quibbling here. Of course at some point the mortal coil gives way to the immortal. But the bible and biblically-faithful Christian lives are the closest light for those who don’t yet have the light within themselves by belief.

The way the Bible describes things as it transitions over to the coming Kingdom on this earth, set up by the Messiah of Israel, establishing his one-world government from the Throne of David in Jerusalem - is that LAWLESSNESS increases until the man of Lawlessness is revealed (the Anti-Christ) and finally sets up in the Temple in Israel and declares HIMSELF to be God Almighty - at which point the true God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob responds with the most severe judgements upon this earth the world has ever seen in its history.

At that point, the Messiah of Israel returns to earth with the armies of heaven and kills all who oppose him on this earth.

We’re headed into an AWFULLY BLOODY TIME!

It is cogently argued that a taking-up (rapture) will occur in close proximity to such things.

America is but 2% of the globe’s surface and it isn’t even cited specifically in scripture. It might correspond to (distant) coastlands — perhaps. But yet the gospel has worked wonderfully in it, perhaps more wonderfully than any other historical country. And this may not yet be the last hurrah for the gospel. I’m certainly making myself available to the Lord to advocate gospel faith in the Lord until He forces me off this mortal coil. I do not believe it’s in vain yet, though some people are slow to pick up on it.

During the Millennial Reign - and Kingdom on this earth, set up by the Messiah of Israel - we will see the mortal and immortal, side-by-side on this earth.

Many will have survived that 7-year Tribulation period, and will go into the Kingdom on this earth, in their mortal bodies, and go on to rebuild and repopulate this earth with large families - while those who were “taken up” prior to the Tribulation, return with the Messiah of Israel, back to earth - and they are immortal, and “ruling and reigning” over the masses of mortals who are still on this earth, in the various nations of the world.

That is the 1,000 year reign of the Messiah of Israel in his Kingdom that he sets up here on earth. After that, we see in Revelation 20, the “Great White Throne Judgment”.

Revelation 20

1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;

3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison

8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea.

9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.

10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.

13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.

14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Great news!

The last abortion clinic in Corpus Christi has been shut down as of Monday June 30.

Due to new pro-life regulations signed into law by Governor Rick Perry. Regulations require all abortion providers to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital as well as becoming ambulatory surgical centers, or mini hospitals.

Most clinics would have to undergo costly renovations or, like the Coastal Bend Birth Control Center, simply shut their doors.

There is a three-fold salvation that Christians have, as told to us, in the Bible.

There is the “one-time for all time” salvation from the penalty of sin, called justification.

Then there is the lifelong process of salvation, which we go through every day, called sanctification.

And lastly there is the final stage of salvation, which occurs when we are raised up and receive our eternal bodies, called glorification.

THUS, we were saved for all time, we are being saved every single day, and we will be saved for eternity after.

That’s our experiential knowledge - except for the last step of salvation which none of us have achieved yet, but will in the coming 1,000 year reign of the Messiah of Israel upon this earth.

We were saved in the past, we are being saved in the present and we will be saved in the future!

And fine... so why are you looking to secondhand documents for the inspiration, the incentive, which actually comes from sanctification as it happens?

I can’t put on a shirt from a photograph. I have to physically go pick it up and put it on my back.
