Why no outrage over the IRS' tea party targeting?
Baltimore Sun ^ | June 29, 2014 | by Robert L. Ehrlich Jr.

... American citizens were targeted by a powerful government agency on account of their political opinions — an unforgivable sin in a democracy where freedom of speech is protected and valued.

Democratic party reaction has been muted, even defensive. The old "there's nothing there" mantra has been trotted out every time another new and relevant revelation comes to light. Come to think of it, this would be the type of scenario a young, community activist, Harvard Law professor would typically get excited about. After all, these citizens are victims.

Alas, these particular victims are tea party folks — an exception to the rule. Such is the way of selective progressive indignation circa 2014. Can you imagine the outrage if the shoe were on the other foot?

Why no outrage?
Because this is a democrat administration.

We would NEVER hear the end of it.

“65% of the electorate don’t pay income taxes. They don’t even know what IRS stands for.”

And many who do pay some taxes are receiving questionable government benefits. Social Security disability payments and farm payments to name two.

Agree on poor messaging. But after the Mississippi runoff it’s clear the establishment GOP is as willing to target tea party conservatives as the White Hut.

Who is the “we” you think might take control of the Senate?
The same gang of Ruling Class elites that just stabbed Conservatives in the back?

“We” need understand that neither division of the DC Uniparty is going to do dick for the cause of smaller government.

The Tea Party is the cheese that stands alone.
Rinos see it as their greatest enemy.
Dems surely don’t care about it.
When the Tea Party’s voice is silenced, who is left to defend it? Works out perfectly for both sides.

No outrage.
It’s simple
People now feel threatened and intimidated by the
IRS and NSA. We are no longer a FREE nation
Time to make changes to this uncontrolled government.

I’m sorry, but you can’t put this down to a crosstown high school rivalry where the Democrat media is always going to support the Democrat Party. The Democrats have to pay the media to be so partisan.

You haven’t noticed what the republicans have been up to regarding their Conservative base? With a Republican majority of thad cochrans you’ll hardly be able to tell the difference. If you’re counting on thad winning to give the gop victory, forget it.

The Democrats and GOP-e hate the Taxed Enough Already party.
The only ones outraged are the American people.

Obama was never a professor. He was a teacher's assistant.

Just wait until we take back the Senate!

Yeah, I'm sure Mitch "Crush The Tea Party" McConnell will get right on that.
