St. James Parish Sheriff's Office deputies have found the body of 12-year-old Talaija Dorsey, who has been missing since Tuesday (July 2), Baton Rouge TV station WBRZ reported. Dorsey last was seen at her home on Pelican Street in St. James.
Dorsey's mother's fiancé, John Celestine, was arrested Wednesday (July 2) and booked with obstruction of justice in the case.

How many of these cases do we see each year? Month? Week? It’s insane what women will do for, ‘love.’

There seems to be more of this among the, er, “Amish.”
I would bet money that Mom and her “fiancé” did not have a ring and a date.
Among certain crowds the “men” act like tomcats who kill the kittens sired by rivals.
Way too many.
I’m not a man-hater, so don’t get me wrong. That’s why I didn’t date while raising my kids. Oh, wait. I was MARRIED, LOL! How old-fashioned of me. My husband didn’t let me meet his son (and the nephews we ended up raising) until after we dated for close to a year. (Granted, he had other character flaws which led to our divorce, but being a parent and putting his son first wasn’t one of them.)
I don’t know how you tell. But, there certainly is a pattern to these cases, which is frustrating. And you don’t get a second chance. And as an added bonus, Mom has to live with this for the rest of her days.
Err on the side of caution when kids are involved. Always.
Mothers of kids should just get them raised then “date”. These pervs pretend they are interested in the mother to get to the child.
That's an excellent policy but refusing to date might not be the only option.There are many ways to investigate the past of people.Some involve a private detective and others don't.Yes,there are enough guys out there who are scum...guys who would hurt a woman or her kids.Guys who would steal $$$ from them.Guys who would do other bad things.So,IMO,it's not unreasonable for a woman to fully investigate a guy's past before getting too close.Expensive? Maybe.A reasonable option? I'd say so.

The women in these cases should be charged as accessories. Especially among the black culture here finding a male without a criminal record is HIGHLY unlikely. It`s simply normal to have a criminal background. Women like this-black and white- simply must have a man and they DON`T CARE who or what they are. The kids are incidental. Watch Maury and Springer and see the mentality of the women who accept ANY kind of man! Poor child,she never had a chance.
Being a step dad, I hate jeez people who kill their girlfriend’s children. Hey jerks, if you hate the kids of your girlfriend - FIND ONE WITHOUT KIDS!!!!!
I didn’t meet my stepson until 6 months after wife and I started dating. A year in, I told his father that he can pick up his son and I’m glad, but if he take him home drunk again I’ll kill him. He never did pick him up again, but he loved the bottle better than his son.
dollars to donuts, this guy is a father and has other children, whom he probably ignores, but at least he doesn't kill them...
