RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. -- Business magnate Donald Trump is fighting -- not over an investment -- but to keep the Stars and Stripes flying from a 70-foot flagpole at his Southland Trump National Golf Course.
CBS Los Angeles reports that the American flag has been the focus of a standoff between Trump and state officials, who say the business investor has not taken the proper legal steps to keep the flag flying.
The California Coastal Commission claims that Trump has not filed the necessary coastal permits to fly the flag in its current location. The commission also says he has not paid a required $10,000 fee.

I used to not like The Donald much. Over the last decade I have grown to like him a lot.

Sounds like all he has to do is file the permit, pay the fee, and the case is closed. Why is he being such a drama queen about it?
I’ll bet everything I have that if he wanted to fly the “rainbow” flag or the Mexican (La Raza)flag these California faggots or Illegals would flock there to put up the flag pole and all regulations would be waived.

Government by delay, why does that have a familiar ring to it? For government to be powerful, they must keep the peons unsettled, uncertain and in fear! There is an Ayn Rand quote about how a government wants law-breakers as they have little power over lawful people. Make the laws complex and arcane and you have more ambiguity and potential law-breaking.
How about pay to pray? Good with that?

If it was a Mexican flag CA would send in the State Police to protect it by establishing an armed perimeter around it
You don't need a 70 foot flagpole to exercise your First Amendment rights. Pay the permit and shut up about it.
