Obama administration officials said Thursday that Russia is firing artillery from its own territory into Ukraine to hit Ukrainian military sites, pointing to escalating Russian involvement in the deadly conflict.
“This clearly is a military escalation,” Pentagon spokesman Col. Steve Warren said, adding there is no question that Russian military—as opposed to Russia-backed separatists—are firing the shots.
State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf first made the accusation during a press briefing earlier Thursday. She also claimed Moscow is boosting its military shipments to pro-Russian separatists. …

They haven’t released anything to prove it, like sat photos, so this is likely based on a single video floating around on the internet, by someone claiming to be a Russian Soldier, firing artillery that they also claim is going into Ukraine.

As far as the claim that they intend to give the Rebels “Heavier Rocket Launchers”, I’d say it is likely, since there are numerous videos of Kiev using the heavy “Smerch” launchers against the rebels.
There was even a claim last week that Kiev had launched a Surface-to-surface “Scarab-B” from Kramatorsk into the refinery at Lyshyansk (sp??), but that didn’t go anywhere.
There is supposedly another vid floating around with the same claim that I saw yesterday.
They’ve been shelling Ukraine for a couple of weeks now, since Zelenopillia when “officially” 19 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed. According to the soldiers who were there, this number is very much understated.
They also shot down whole lot of Russian reconnaissance UAVs.
Putin had better watch his step, or else Obama will become deepy concerned.

So you are saying that Col Warren would make a statement like this based on Twitter without having other evidence:

Yep. They might as well do it now before we get a real leader in the White House. It's not like Europe will do anything. They need Russia's oil and gas too much to take any action beyond expressing their displeasure.
By the time November '16 rolls around, Russia's army will be firmly entrenched in Ukrainian soil among a largely supportive populace, their flag will fly over the Donbas and we'll be able to do nothing more than shrug our shoulders regardless of who we elect.
At least commercial airliners won't be getting shot out of the sky.

You are a pathological liar, so I am quite sure you already saw my thread on this topic (it's on the frontpage bar), and that is where you are pulling your emergency defense of Putin stuff from, but without the honesty to admit where you got your idea from. There is no indication that this is where Obama got his information, but if it is, that is indeed pretty sad. Also, Interpreter Magazine has proven that Russia has been doing this for awhile (previously, the Russkies have been shooting grads). So it's weird that they only get offended about it just recently, although it's been going on for awhile. Here is the thread on the Russkie soldier posting his pictures and even geolocating them, like the retard most Putinistas are.

The Russkies don't use facebook BTW. It is something different. And since they are so stupid, they seem to have a problem with posting up photos of their atrocities on there, like Strelkov.
The veil has been dropped. Russia is driving this conflict, feeding the flames by providing the rebels with tanks, anti-aircraft missiles, fighters, and perhaps most importantly, cover in the international community.
This crisis exists because Russia wants it to exist. It's time for the international community to realize that Putin is not a reliable partner in solving it.

They are already unearthing mass graves of the murdered in areas taken back from the rebels.
Putin is trying to completely conquer Ukraine by stealth to minimize economic retaliation from the west but the whole world is seeing what he and the Russian military and his proxy military of terrorists is doing.
When he can no longer deny and the world mounts against him, he may do a full on invasion of Ukraine, it is his best opportunity with the quisling in the WH, who may be in league with the Russians all along.
